She sighed and her eyes drooped a little. "anything," she murmured.

She picked up a magazine from the side and read out a fashion article

She smiled a little and listened happily. Her heart rate was steady and her breathing slow. Will watxhed her, skightly intrigued.

She read another article about food

Her stomach growled and she licked her lips, "I'm hungry.."

She nodded "okay"

She smiled, "thank you...fruit sounds good.."

She called a nurse

The nurse came in and smikes softlt, "hello, what can I do for you?"

"I dunno she wants food I guess."

She nodded and looked at her chart. "I'll be back in a moment." she smiled softly and headed to the cafeteria. William looked at her and raised his brows a little.

She looked at him then looked away "I hate hospitals."

He stood and walked to her, "it's ok...I'm here for you"

She nodded a bit. Some bad memories in this place.

He kissed her head, "this seems more like you aren't upset just about her being here.."

She sighed "winona's gonna be okay." She said softly "other people.... aren't. And haven't. "

He turned her to him and hugged her, kissing her head tenderly. "who did you lose here?" he asked softly.

"Ah, where's my list?" She laughed darkly. "Um well, my mom, kind of my dad, my grandma and then grandfather. Myself. "

He frowned and then pincjed and poked her lightly, "you feel real...are you sure you lost yourself?" she tried to smile softly.

She smiled weakly and shrugged. The nurse came with food

Winona sat up a little, grunting form the pain.

Will kissed her forehead. "don't worry baby..I'm here."

She stood by him "I know, thanks."

Winona sighed softly as she was whelled out to the car and helped into it. She wasn't to do any heavy liftingnor anything. She still had a cast type thing around her ribs and her leg had a soft cast. All of her bruises and scrapes were basicallt gone though.

Bronwyn was driving her back home, cheerful music blasted through the radio. She had become closer to Will and was spending more time with him when she wasn't busy with work and Winona. Because of that she had been meeting Jude quite often too and they had established a close kind of friendship too. She parked at her place and helped her out and into her room.

Will had talked Jude into coming to her welcome home party. Winona had no idea what waited for her in hernapartment. She slowly climbed out and grabbed her crutches, "thanks for bringing me home."

"Yeah it took a lot of effort." She rolled her eyes "don't be silly, who else would? Plus I wasn't joking about you being grounded. I have to supervise you at all times." She opened the door for her.

Winona snorted and rolled her eyes. "You can't ground me. It's not possible." She looked into the dark room and sighed happily, then cried out as the lights flipped on and everyone jumped out yelling 'surprise!' in chorus.

It wasnt many people just a few close friends of theirs. She didn't want winona to feel too crowded and exert too much energy.

She grinned at all thenpeople, "aww you guys," she said, reading the welcome home banner.

Jude hung around by William since he really didn't know anyone there. He didn't want to be seen as the hero or the guy who saved her. His neighbor had also helped him do that so he didn't want all the credit. He really didnt want to be there but will and bron forcefully made him. Bronwyn helped her friend walk into the room and soon her few friends surrounded her.

She was given hugs and kisses and tears of joy. She looked around at everyone and her leg was getting weak and her chest hurt a bit, "I need to sit diwn." she said. They parted the seas to the couch and she crutched over, slowly sitting down.

Will looked at him, "go say hi, she'll be happy to see you." he smiled.

Everyone sat down close by and indulged in conversation. There were only about ten people there. There were some refreshments on the table in the middle. Bron made her way to Will and Jude "hey guys, thanks for coming." She smiled "did you guys meet her yet? "
Jude rolled his eyes and smiled when bron came "hey. Uh no, she seems busy."

Will snorted, "go say hi hero." he nudged him. He smiled at Bron and kissed her cheek, "hey baby," he murmured. Winona smiled as she looked around and talked a bit with a few people.

She hugged will from the side "did you meet some of my friends?"
Jude grunted and nodded. He plastered a cheerful look on his face before walking over when the conversation started to die down. "Hey." He said approaching her, crouching on the floor next to thr sofa to level with her. "Welcome back. Remember me?" He smiled slightly.

Winona looked up at him and took his hand. "thank you..." she said softly and squeezed his fingers. "you saved my life.." she said softly. She leaned in and kissed his cheek. "I don't know how I can ever repay you."

Will shook his head, "I was waiting for you baby," he smiled and kissed her head again.

"I didn't save your life..." he sighed. He moved back a bit "don't have to repay me, honestly."

"Oh okay" she held his hand

She ahook her head, "the doctors said if you hadn't pulled me out or called the ambulance I would have died.." she said softly.

Will skiled and kised her head, "shall we?"

He smiled uncomfortably "well I didn't do it alone. But seriously whatever. I'd have done it for anyone, I didnt even know it was you. So dont feel that you owe me something." He stood up.

"Sure.." she hoped her friends likedd him

Winona still held his hand. "can you take me to the other person who helped? I want to thank you both...I'll make you both pies," she smiled and nodded a little.

Will followed her to her friends and nodded to all of them, shaking their hands and kissing the backs of the girls hands tenderly, "It is very nice to meet all of yous," he smiled.

"I-I don't know. That won't be necessary..." he muttered. He knew this would happen if he tried talking to her, that's why he was trying not to. He looked back at Will for a second, glaring. He looked back "you just get better and stuff.."

She intoduced him as someone she was seeing. She watched him kiss their hands "he's very classy like that." She smiled.

Winona sighed softly and let go of his hand, "I'm sorry that I'm so pushy about this...I know you're uncomfortable.....you don't have to stay if you dont want to." she said softly and looked st her hands as she fiddled with her finger nails.

Will chuckled softly, "sorry it was part of my up bringing," he slid his arm around her again.

"Nah, its ok. Im hanging around for a bit." He was supposed to catch a ride from will or bron or both depending on what their plan was. "I'll let you get back to your friends." He nodded at the others surrounding her.

"Why are you apologising? Its a good thing." She leaned on him. Her friends talked to them for a bit, liking him.

Winonannodded a little and smiled softly at her friends. She seemed a bit more distang after talkingnto uim. She didn't smile as much either. She was acftually very sleep and her eyes woukd close fornlong periods ofntime when she didnt speak.

Will smiled and shruged,;glancing at winona, "she looks really tired," he whispered in Bron's ear.

"Yeah, people are starting to leave. " she said "are you going home?"

Jude walked back to them "hey, what's the plan? "

Winona smiled and hugged people good bye and thanked them for coming.

Will licked his lips, "I think we shoukd make sure she is comfortable before we leave."

Soon they all left
"Okay then." Jude said walking over to the food.
She kissed wills cheek "sure." She walked to her "let's get you to bed."

Winons looked up and could hardly get up. Will walked over and pulled her up gently. He handed her her crutches and walked with her and Bronnto bed. Winona sat on her bed and sighed, pullingnoff her chest cast and shirt. Will walked from the room.

Bron helped her change and stuff and tucked her in bed.
Jude waited for them. He thought if he helped her any more she'd want to build a shrine for him.

Will was waiting with Jude. "It wasn't that bad," he smirked.

Winona thanked her and smiled, drifting off to sleep.
