THE UNIT: Thought on the Ending

What do people think of the ending?
Is that what you would expect Dorrit to do?

A very complex book. I expected this ending but I was hoping something different. But this book is not a fairy tale with a prince and princess and a happy ending.
I really don't know what I would have done in such situation.

I'm with you Dina, the ending fitted the character and society we got to know, but I wished it had ended otherwise.

The ending was realistic, but not the ending I had hoped for I suppose.

You wanted her to fight a bit more, didn't you?

Why do you think she went back, was it to be with her friends until the end, or so her baby would not be a social outcast, or did she have other reasons?
Why did she not escape again later? (Nobody knew she had been out the first time.)

I think she finally accepted that society had no place for her any more (wrong but true!)and she did not want to be constantly on the run or putting her child in danger. I did want her to fight though :o(
