Latest update: It's 100 degrees where I am in Australia! But that means I can spend lots of time writing and editing inside :) I have two major projects at the moment:

1) Brew The final manuscript for my witch apocalypse book is now being pitched by my agent to major publishers! Fingers crossed someone likes it :)

2) I've just finished draft of the first book in another YA dystopian series, the title of which I'll be releasing soon. Get ready beta readers!

I'm so excited for 2014 to be even better than 2013!

I raise you the grumpy cat, Heidi!! Had to drive 40 miles tonight in drifting, cold, blowing snow home, its about -2 degrees F with a windchill of -20 F. :(((

I am frozen. Seriously. I have been cold all day. I washed the dishes from the meeting tonight, and the water wasn't really that cold...but when I was done, I realized my hands were sort of numb, and they were seriously turning blue! Warmed em up on a cup of hot tea, feel better now!

AND...I think our hot water heater broke. :( We have no hot water.

Oh no! I use warm water all the time to warm my hands that have previously been frost bitten (they hurt when they get cold) -- I would be lost without warm water!!! It was -20 this morning on my way to work but so far the snow is not expected until this weekend here. I am so over this winter.

I haven't seen snow in so long...my wife and I might visit my brother-in-law in Canada next winter to remind ourselves what we're NOT missing :)

Oh, it won't hit Missouri. It'll be gone by then! Though we'll get it's remains though.
We had our record snowfall this year... the last time they said it happened was around the 1990s. I wasn't even born then!

We always talk about the weather here in Iowa, because its ever changing. One of our favorite sayings: Don't like the weather? Wait 5 minutes, it will change!
