It's that time: Nominate your books, pet projects. Other than the obvious date range and quality bar, nominate some of these amazing books we keep nominating
Scroll to the bottom, nominations are closed, voting is open!

William Mego (willmego) I won't be nominating a book this month, since I think I've had a pick win in one of the polls every month but one so far, and even when I vote AGAINST my own pick it wins, and Deborah and Sophia and the others keep nominating these amazing looking books.

I won't even nominate blankets this month!

message 3: by Mikela (new)

Mikela I think The Sense of an Ending would make an ideal group read choice and it was really good. Another book previously nominated that looks superb is The Cave. So I guess those are the two I'd nominate.

message 4: by William (new)

William Mego (willmego) You get another pick Mikela! We read the cave last month.

message 5: by Mikela (new)

Mikela Oh sorry, that was when I didn't have my computer. Another book that I wanted to read was The Master.

message 6: by William (new)

William Mego (willmego) Ooh, great pick

message 7: by Sophia (new)

Sophia Roberts | 1324 comments I'd like to recommend Bring Up the Bodies

Bring Up the Bodies (Wolf Hall, #2) by Hilary Mantel

by Hilary Mantel

If it's half as good as 'Wolf Hall' it will be brilliant.

Actually, let's nominate that - as well!

Wolf Hall

Wolf Hall (Wolf Hall, #1) by Hilary Mantel

also by Hilary Mantel

It's truly amazing...

Mikela There are some great books being nominated - I can see my whole life being dedicated to reading.

message 10: by Jane (new)

Jane (janedistinctive) | 2 comments The Night Circus/Erin Morgenstern

message 11: by David (new)

David Ready Player One , by Ernest Cline
Robopocalypse , by Daniel H. Wilson

William Mego (willmego) Ok...I clearly need to add some text to the desc field, since the topic wasn't clear. This thread is the MODERATOR nominating thread. Everybody gets to VOTE on the pick, but not choose, and mods pick two....AND they pick one on the regular poll. AND ready player one is genre. It's good, for the genre, but I'd make a case sooner for World Made by Hand before it.

So sorry, but the nominations in msg #10 and #11 won't count on this poll.

message 13: by Deborah (last edited Jun 08, 2012 05:03PM) (new)

Deborah | 983 comments I'm going to pass. I'd nominate the same book and if it didn't win and I'd feel sad.

I will of course, vote.
