which series is better twilight or the mortal instruments?
OK, so I know this has nothing to do with anything about Twilight, but I have a theory of sorts and I need help with it.So, I was pretty sure that Brother Zachariah was Tessa, or Will, or Jem. Now, not so sure. Think about it, Brother Z said he only loved 2 people in this world, so immediately I thought 'OMG ITS WILL!!' But, it can't be. Will obviously had children so he would've loved them. It can't be Jem because he loves EVERYONE! And it can't be Tessa, because she loved Jem, Will, her brother, her aunt, her parents etc. Also, in City of Fallen Angels, I think we "see" Tessa. Towards the end when Magnus goes and talks to someone 'in a white dress with light brown hair' sounds like Tessa to meeeeee. I'm so confused!
On a turning point, I don't think Tessa ends up with Will....or Jem. Tessa can't have kids, she's part Warlock which means she's sterile, remember?! Unless she finds out she's not, Tessa couldn't have kids with Jem or Will. Or anybody else for that matter. That's whats making me confused. I think Jem kind of loves Tessa, but its like how Simon was with Clary, Will full out loves her so who in the world did he marry and have kids with? And don't say Will's sister could have all the kids because more than likely she had to be married and she would've had a different last name.

If someone choose twilight, I will give them a lots of hell.

How is this even a question?? Not to bash Twilight, I used to like it before the films were released but TMI all the way. No contest! Better plot, better heroines, better heroes!

Mortal Instruments, for sure. Twilight didn't have a convincing, catchy storyline, it was boring enough that I don't remember any of it. The Mortal Instruments, however, are exciting, and makes you wonder so much what's going to come next! (Hurry up, City of Heavenly Fire)
I loved twilight but agree mortal instruments is far more racy and exciting
You know when your reading a book and you tell yourself I will just read to the end of the chapter and then do something that you have to do? That was really hard with mortal instruments cause it was that action packed..really like it..
I thought that the only good book in the Twilight series was "Twilight" itself, whereas all the books in this series are good. I also like how Clary is willing to do the right thing and is strong.
city of bones is the second awesomest serie ever if any one dosent agree with me then idk wat to tell u no coment on that and btw jace is way hotter then edward thats just the truth out ther lol

MORTAL INSTUMENTS for sure!Heres a couple of reasons why;
1. twilight sucks.
2. Bella is an annoyingly frustrating character (for me). I find it very hard to relate to a charcter who zombiefies herself just cos her high school boyfriend left.
3. Edward is a creep.
4. now this reason may sound a little weird, but trust me. twilight got all this press and EVERYONE fell in love with it, this meant that I had people who hardly ever read saying how much they loved it and how it was an amazing book, but too me these people dont have experience reading great books, and it frustrated me. mortal instruments has not recieved as much press (in my experience) so i feel that its actually avid readers who are recommending this book more.
5. aiden turner (the vampire from being human UK) has been cast in the city of bones movie. he is hot. i didnt find any of the twilight characters hot (although taylor and the other wolves had great bodies).
6. twilight sucks
sorry to all the twilight fans whom i may be insulting with my comments on twilight. it is my opinion and i try very hard to not judge people when they say they like twilight (except my friends, whom i then call idiots and never talk about books with ever again, its a good system)

The Twilight series are well-written but the characters are too undeveloped. Edward is creepy, Jacob is even more creepy (imprinting on a baby...I mean seriously), and Bella is whiny and overall, not a strong heroine. The Mortal Instruments are a million times better. Jace is very well-developed character who is mysterious, funny, and willing to do anything for love. Clary is a much stronger character than Bella and more likable. Simon is just plain epic. Enough said.

I don't even know how this could be a question. TMI is definitely better. While I love the Twilight books, TMI just has more to offer other than a high school romance (which is basically all Twilight is). I like TMI better because there is more than just teen love, this books shows the value of friendship, bonds of a family, strength, loyalty etc.. TMI is just all around a better book series in my opinion and it does not hurt that there are 2 more books in TMI :]
The Mortal Instruments. I started reading Twilight but it didnt captivate me enough to ever really finish it. Go Cassie!

Mortal Instruments
The Mortal Instruments series is epic. Packed full of action and love and a world that everyone wishes they could be apart of. Boys with whom you can't help but swoon over and characters that you can't help but care about. Twilight was a wonderful little love story but it can never be EPIC.
Mortal Instruments! No question about it!!!
The mortal instruments doesn't just have a superior plot to twilight, but it is written so much better. And there is a strong Female character in TMI who is not defined by her romantic decisions. There is no comparison
I struggled to connect with the Twilight series, I found the characters lacking, the story line weak and the whole thing just generally irritating!I was introduced to the Mortal Instruments by another reader with similar tastes and was instantly drawn in, I had to read the books one after the other as I couldn't put them down. I found that all the characters are well developed with good back stories, the plot itself is so intricate and well written and all the way through you are left with questions and wanting to know more. Excellent books that I will read again & again!
Hi i'm new. :) i always get emails about this group so I decided to check it out. Anyways I think the mortal instruments are better cuz i think it will be a great movie when they make it. But the writing of twilight is WAY better than the movie. movie is a bit cheesy to me.
Twilight books was good but I think The Mortal Instruments are much better
Mortal Instruments, definitely is better, at least to me. Twilight wasn't very well written but I did enjoy the last book and I like the movies a lot.
I was very involved and "obsessed" with twilight, the books and movies and havn't been that excited for a book since The Mortal Instruments. These are incredible books, they add the romance, complex situations, true action. Mortal Instruments... Are actually better.
The Mortal Instruments is so much better and even The Infernal Devices is 100% better than Twilight.
I love the Mortal Instruments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I liked the Twilight series too but there isn't enough action in it. TMI is the best combination of action, romance, and comedy.
Hands down TMI series. Cassandra Clare is a genius. She explains things so vividly. Also I love that she puts twists into the story line. Things get start to get boring when you can predict what's going to happen.
Umm....TMI I liked up until COFA. Then it all just started getting more inappropriate and I didn't like COLS at all. But I like the idea better. Now, if you compare TID to Twilight, then I wouldn't hesitate to scream "WILL!" on the top of my lungs in front of a crowd.
But for TMI, I prefer twilight.
It's really hard to read other books now because of how good TMI and Tid are.

This is kind of a no-brainer. The Mortal Instruments cuz it was more interesting and in Twilight NOTHING FLIPPIN HAPPENED!!!!!! nothing.
MORTAL INSTRUMENTS TEN TIMES BETTER THAN TWILIGHT!!!!!! NO, A MILLION TIMES BETTER!!!!!!!!!!! (sorry to all you twilight fans, but I'm just speaking my mind.)

As long as I found the love-triangle is really annoying, I love TMI more.In my opinion, TMI got fabulous characters and excellent plot.
TMI is awesome !!!! But unfortunately I happen to be a twihard . So I think I will call it a draw( I happen to love vampires) but if I wasn't a twihard I think my choice would be kinda obvious . TMI!!!!
I love scrolling down and seeing all the comments about the Mortal Insturments being better. There's not even an argument. No question, TMI is SOOOO much better
