I agree completly!

Exactly!!! I couldn't agree more!
I have not read Twilight and I adore Harry Potter, but Bella sounds like a simpering idiot who can't pull herself together long enough to resemble a human being so I go with HP.

Harry Potter is definitely superior, but I still enjoy Twilight! :)

Harry Potter all the way:) I'm kind of ambivalent towards Twilight. I don't love it but I don't hate it either.

...also, readers grow up and perhaps some do feel Twilight caters to thier older needs?

I mean i dont know how Twilight added up to Harry Potter... maybe they were both huge high-franchise films with great audience reaction....
But still, like they are not even remotely from the same topic/genre or even remotely related....
Suddenly, ppl are all like "Twilight or Harry Potter?" i mean srsly where is the connection? Thats so random.
Its like asking "Titanic or Monsters Inc?"
or "James Bond or Finding Nemo?"

You are right - they are not of the same genre or really related in any way as such.

oh ok, i thought u were correcting me becasue i thought i wrote/misspelled something....
yup :)

Honesty, compassion and determination are all qualities that Hermione embodies. She blossoms into a flower as she matures over the years (of Harry Potter series), into a strong young woman who is by no means flawless but rather who is 'human' and corageous. I certainly look up to her as an intelligent, loving character.
Bella is independant and shows how determined she is to live her life to the full. Caring and loving to friends and family, she is a young woman of spirit and passion. She doesn't crumble when times get hard nor does she abandon those whom she loves; and this is a trait that we all could take note of.
Sorry i cannot answer your question as just one name, but i do like to examine characters in stories as indaviduals (reflections of the author), rather than ...VS...
They are VERY different and yet both Bella and Hermione are great female protagonists. (well, in my opinion they are:))

"
It is clear that Bella needs Edward. (underline the need). It is a love story like Juliet and Romeo.

I'm a chicken, so i'd never even think of jumping off of a cliff!! eeekkk! :)
The things that these books have in common is...um...nothing.
It's kind of hard to compare something that has nothing in common. They aren't even the same GENRE.

agreed
Yep. Harry Potter is the absolute amazing-est book ever. End of argument. xD
I liked the first three books from the Twilight series and then the last one completely ruined it for me; I didn't like the story, I found the characters a bit annoying and - I have to admit - I struggled to finish the book because it simply wasn't that interesting.
