Well, I guess. For Jersey its nice. LOL I actually do like it. I just hate having the houses on top of each other here. I grew up much different. But at least my kid have a nice backyard to play in.

Stephanie Judice (stephaniejudice) Hi, everyone. I'm from the Deep South, southern Louisiana. Born and raised in Baton Rouge and live with my husband, 4 kids, 2 cats and a hermit crab (thanks to last year's trip to Destin) in New Iberia. We're basically in "Cajun country" as they say. We actually have a bayou, quite beautiful, running right through our town. I believe our downtown was on the top ten best-list for the US recently. Beautiful, but yes, hot as hell this time of year.

Dvora, I may need your help. My characters in book two, which I'm writing now, have to get into New York City under Marshall Law. Basically, my characters have to connect with some others living in NYC before an invasion of reapers (demonic creatures come to feed on all humankind) descend on the city. I need an expert to discuss some places in NYC. Would you be open to giving me some advice? Actually, one of my new characters, Miriam, is Jewish. I could use some help there, too. :)

message 84: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 17 comments Hi Everyone, I'm from Brisbane Australia. I was born in Sydney, then migrated up to the Gold Coast where I met my husband, then moved the hour up the coast. I also have 1 boy aged 3 - I can't believe you have 6 boys Tina - how the hell do you do it!!!

message 85: by Tina (new)

Tina (frogluv3r) | 458 comments LOL It's been a lot of work, but well worth it. Some days I think I'm a little cooky, but in general I try to laugh as much as possible. Plus I have a great hubby! What's Australia like this time of year? I would love to go there someday.

message 86: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 17 comments I can't wrap my head around you having 6 teenagers - you don't look old enough!!! I bet people think you're their older sister!!!

It's freezing in Brisbane, which basically means it's 23 degrees celsius, which is about 73 F.
Australia is great - David can vouch for that. But it is a hell of a long way to come from the US. I've been over to the US once a couple of years ago, and loved it. I can't get over how cheap & huge everything is there. I can't wait to go back, but I'm just hoping that they invent a way to get there in half the time!!

message 87: by Tina (new)

Tina (frogluv3r) | 458 comments Lol. My oldest will be 24 in a couple of months. Still no grandbabies yet. Lol

73 degrees sounds nice. It's supposed to get up in the 90's here today. How long does it take to travel to the US?

I won't be on much today, I have my in-laws 50th anniversary party today.

message 88: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 17 comments LOL, you're really going to have your hands full when they finally do have kids of their own - but there's nothing better than a big family, especially at Xmas time!!

From LAX to Sydney 14.5 hrs. On the way back to Aust, our flight was diverted because of fog, so it ended up being a 20hr flight.

message 93: by Stacy (new)

Stacy | 3 comments I was born in upstate NY. We moved to NH when I was 5 and basically I grew up there. Loved it there and miss the changing seasons, especially the snow at Christmas. Moved to Maine for a few years, it was okay...but NH was much prettier and the people were friendlier, in my opinion. Moved to TX to be a live-in nanny for a short time...thought I was literally in a western movie...people really do drive pick-up trucks with the gun racks in the window, wear Wrangler jeans two sizes to small and enormous belt buckles. Not for me...that is all I can say. Then I moved to FL and moved from the west coast across Alligator Alley to the east coast where I now live and hopefully will not be moving anytime soon.
