Usually when people begin writing, particularly amateur novice writers, they just begin rushing through the story and basically have the whole entire plot laid out for the reader by the first few pages.
What you need to do is calm yourself and develop the story in pace and style that holds the reader's interest , but doesn't let them in on the secrets.
It is also could to look back at your writing and adding details, cause lots of times we only mention the obvious details in are our and miss the ones that the base of the story, the atmosphere.
The beginning on ones story is important, it sets the pace and is what decides in readers mind whether to continue reading or to put the book down and grab another one.
