Usually you should not create a separate series (as in a new listing that would appear in the field "series" on the book's page) for the foreign edition. The series listings are not edition-specific but draw on the most popular edition, so you could end up with a series page showing one book in English, one in Portugese, one Spanisch, one French etc.
You sometimes see a separate series for books that have been split into several volumes in the translations. I usually don't create a separate series for those but add them to the original series adding information on the book number (e.g. book 1, part 1 of 2). That way all books of the series are kept in the same place and you can see from the series title that the edition you are viewing is actually only part of the original book.
Now for the naming in the title: I sometimes do it that way as well (giving the series name in the language of the edition in the title) because that seems the most consistent to me when I edit the title data. As it will be overwritten by the series' title it doesn't make a difference when you view the book's main page. However, you'll see the foreign language title when you view it from your shelves and I like that consistent look.

Separate series are useful when the books have been renumbered in the new series -- that way, when someone picks up a book that actually says #6, it says #6 in its primary series listing. Often split books aren't renumbered that way, and then its better to do as you've been doing and keep them with the others as #3 part 2.
I have a question about multiple series in different language. For example this book has Hyperion Cantos #1 (which of course is the correct English series so no real problem with it)as the series, but in the library, or when you open the edit page, the series visible in the title field is I Canti di Hyperion #1 (which is the correct Italian series name).
Is that the standard way when dealing with different language series? Or is possible to create a new series with the Italian name? Just asking for consistency sake and because until now I only added the English name for the series.
