Rachel I'm just wondering, I mean I really hated mockingjay and really thought it was such a let down when it had so much potential. Did anyone else feel like that?

Bill Golden I agree as well. It had massive plot issues, and only really redeemed itself with a semi-decent ending.

Sab It was awful! The first 2 books were wonderful and this third book ruined it all! It was too depressing! Katniss was so miserable I ended up feeling bad too! The ending wasn't even great! It could have been much better!

I loved it!!

Kaye S. I still love it. Haha

Monica Yes a real bore and as i skimmed most of it i found myself wanting to snatch katniss out of the pages and smack the heck out of her but i did enjoy the first two

The first ones were good, the last one completely ruined it...

Nadia the first book was really good and then the last two were such a let down- it felt like she had just written it for the money. Peeta and Gale weren't imagined very well and the amount of people dying was a bit stupid.

I don't think it was!

Sab Well, #1 was very good, then Catching Fire... The first half was boring and the other half was like the first book... It was better than the third book, though.

Saru (Queen of Bookland) No. It had a sad ending, but it was not awful. It had some happy spots. After I finished, I found myself thinking, It was Terrible! No it was amazing! No terrible! NO amazing! No.....

Tabby It was definitely harder to get through than the first two. I was really into the first one, mostly into the second, and really had to push myself to get through parts of the third.

Ashley-Anne I really didn't like it. I didn't like the ptsd element, I didn't like the uncertainty of the end, I felt parts of it were totally useless and didn't make sense. And it did actually give me nightmares the night I finished it.

Robert Wright I give her points for writing the book she wanted to write. But this really subverts so many hopes and expectations of readers, and is just bleak, bleak, bleak.

I could live with, and even appreciate, a not-so-happy ending, but this was just such a let down.

Abbie I hated it!!!!!!!!! I cried through the whole thing! People kept dyeing and the ending was really bad. I think the author could have done so much better.

Lauren Aung I don't HATE the book but it was my least favorite out of the three. I guess I thought it would be a lot more better because the first two were really good.

Abbie Yah, I really wanted to know the kids names. I forgot about that...

Courtney I liked the majority of the book but the end was horrible. You can tell that tehe author either got bored of writing it and just wanted it to end, or she ran out of time because of some sort of deadline.

The end was just shitty. Basically.

Cheryl Wallace Well Josie it looks like it's mostly you and me. Truthfully though, The first book; couldn't put it down. I read it in about 4 hours. The second book was the same. I didn't go to bed till like three cause I just can't sleep when I get into a good book. The third...started off really good but then got kinda strange. I know what it's like though when the story has ended but you're needing to pull out another book. I think maybe this is what happened and if it is than she did a good job. I have to say that I did love the ending. I was hoping that Peeta was who she chose. Gale is more like arm candy that will leave her sour in the end. Peeta is that stay with ya forever kinda guy.

Blaze I liked the first two but the third one..kind of let me down.I was hoping for a more interesting ending, it was as if the author killed off the good characters bcoz she didn't know what to do with them.

Elizabeth Horton-Newton I was very disappointed with this one. Hunger Games was great, Catching Fire even better, but Mockingjay was a let down.

Crazyjamie I didn't hate it, but it certainly wasn't as strong as the first two books. The problem for me was that for the third one dealt with a plot line and general elements that the first two didn't deal with, and simply put Collins was not as strong dealing with those things as she was with the first two books. There was a clear drop in quality for me. I did still enjoy it, though if (hypothetically) Mockingjay was a standalone title, she certainly wouldn't have the same level of recognition.

Leah i didn't hate it but it wasn't my favourite of the trilogy

I loved it why are ppl so against this book. It tied up everything and was amazing.

I don't see anything that was wrong. Prim dying was a sign that katniss had to work her hardest to fight for what she believes. And the ending was cute. It showed that peeta and katniss forgot every bad thing that happen and got together living a happy life. I loved it

Katie I loved the first book. The second was okay. I thought this one was a big disappointment. It just seemed rushed and disjointed.

"The end was just shitty."

Yep.

Atalie yep it was just you

the end wasn't bad it had a great ending that showed thY they overcame the government and the awful effects they did to peeta and katniss. they got together even though he hated her for a while. he loved her even though the gov changed that. his love was at heart.

Irene I never actually liked the series in the first place.

Candace HATED IT WITH A BURNING PASSION....KINDA KEPT ME ON MY TOES IN THE FIRST TWO THEN FELL FLAT ON THE LAST ONE.
I DON'T KNOW, BUT IT FELT RUSHED BUT DRAGGED AT THE SAME TIME. -.- HORRID
p.s soooooo TEAM PEETA!!! :D

Coral "I loved the first book. The second was okay. I thought this one was a big disappointment. It just seemed rushed and disjointed."

My thoughts exactly.

Lauren Mausshardt I beyond loved the first one, Loved the second and just could not really even like the third. too many people dying, gave me nightmares (and i'm 25!) and it just seemed so rushed at the end, pretty much from the capitol on. I just didn't like it, I wanted her to kill snow, I wanted her to end up with peeta, but the outcome with katniss and gale didn't have to end that way, and I highly doubt they really "forgot" about all that happened and moved on and had kids (which she didn't want from the start). Katniss in district 13 seemed like a waste of a lot of pages. The whole capitol arena thing could have been way better and more detailed like the first two arenas. There were just too many things in mockingjay that just kind of ruined the series for me.
