I am trying to load books from my Calibre library to a Nook Simple Touch. I am fine when I load to my Nook Tablet, my daughter's Kindle Fire and my Ipad. Why won't the books show up on the Simple Touch? Has anyone had this issue before?

I use Calibre with my Touch all the time. I'm afraid I can't imagine why it would work with your other devices and not the Touch. Does anything happen in Calibre at all when you plug the Touch in?
Yes the device shows up in Caibre but the books will not show up in the device even after I have sent them to the device. I have tried on two separate Nooks. I can't understand why.
If you have the new Simple Touch with Glowlight you HAVE to update Calibre otherwise it will not work. I had to do that with mine. They should be in your library also not in "my documents" as the Simple Touch doesn't have that. Other than that I am not sure what it could be since I have loaded a ton of books on my mom's which I gave her for Mother's Day.
It's not a Glowlight, but I will try the updates first. I was doing it for my mother-in-law and I felt so bad that couldn't add the book. Yeah, I didn't see a my documents in the Nook. Thanks for your help, guys.
The Nook Touch doesn't have the library/my documents distinction on the device. All the items are together. However, they can be sorted separately. Perhaps that's what's happening here.
Here's what I suggest (if you haven't already tried this.) First, go into your library on the Nook and make sure you're in the "All" setting, not "Books" or "Shelves." If you're not, go into "All" and see if the books are there. If you are, plug your Nook into your computer and check out "My files" there, to see if the books are actually in the folders. They should be in folders under author's name. (You can also do this on the Nook by looking in "My Files," but it's easier to do it on your computer.)

Also, test that you can access the nook from your computer (not just within Calibre). Can you see it? Otherwise if you are having an issue with Calibre, just drag/drop the book directly onto the nook.
