Just wanted to tell you that this was my favorite book of 2011! Thank you so much for writing teenage characters who think and act like real teenagers!! I laughed so hard when I read part of this that I practically fell off my chair! Can't wait to read what you come up with next :)

My question is: When you write about teenagers drinking and having sex, do you ever get negative feedback that it is sending a bad message? I personally like to read a book that is real and not just trying to set a good example, but I wondered if maybe the reason why some authors have their characters drinking soda at parties is because of pressure from publishers or just internal reasons?

Great question--I thought I would get lots of negative feedback but I didn't. Maybe because I showed some consequences...I did debate how far to go, but I was trying to write a realistic story so I just went for it.

hay this is the most fun book i read this year it had me completely hooked i was really sad when i it ended i liked that April messes things up at times shes not the perfect girl who always dose the right thing it makes easier to connect with April

i like alcohol myself in limited quantity what do think about underage drinking? and what inspired to write this book?

I got the idea for this book from my real life -- I moved into my friend's basement when I was seventeen.

Just wanted to say that i LOVED 10 things we did and probably shouldnt have and as soon as it came out i got it and read it and recommended it to my friend. i loved it because it was unexpected (the ending)and the contrast in the characters personalities were great and they all stood out. It was also funny, really fun and reflected the personalities of teens so accurately haha... have you ever thought of writing a teen book series??
