Hmmm, I just noticed that it does the same thing on a title that I uploaded a cover image for.http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15...
Sorry, I don't have an answer.
Thanks rivka, that will be it. On the subject of covers, how strict is Goodreads that the cover displayed should be the actual cover of the edition shown?
Why would you want to upload a cover that doesn't match the edition? Wouldn't it make more sense to upload it to the edition it actually matches, and shift your review to that edition?
Hey all,There was a slight bug for the case where the image is from a user and an Amazon cover doesn't exist - sorry about that. We'll have it fixed in the next release!
And yes, please keep the covers to ones that match the actual edition.
Here's an example of a cover which does not match the edition http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12...
the main edition listed is the Bantam paperback, which strangely was not illustrated. I scanned & uploaded my copu, which is a Corgi. But you can't see that it is from the tiny thumbnail. None of the other associated versions of Machineries of joy was a Corgi. So... does it matter in this case?
So yours is this one? Why not just upload your cover for that edition?
Or is it an ISBN that's not listed at all?
I'm guessing that it's not as big a deal for older editions, where getting the real cover may be very difficult.

Nope, that one says "Corgi Childrens" which is different from the beautiful old Corgi paperback I have. I perhaps should have said that this cover/edition mismatch only happens on old and out of print books, so maybe - maybe - it doesn't matter in those cases.

So am I doing something wrong here?
Thanks!
