Deanna, I am sorry I didn't notice this the first time you posted this task, but when you posted for 30.1 the first time, I saw that your first book wouldn't work and didn't even look at your second book. The title of the book for die roll 6 must contain a word that can be anagrammed from the letters in the word SPIDERMAN. That requires that all letters in the word in the title be found in Spiderman - not just some letters. The word "and" was given as an example of a word in a book title that would be acceptable, since all 3 letters are found in Spiderman.

Oh geesh, I must have had a brain fart or something. Well, the third times the charm, right? I found another slot for that book and I think I found one that will work for this task. Ya gotta love anagram helper and calibre for searching and sorting.

I am listed on the Readerboard with 250 points, but by my calculations I should only have 220.5.1, 5.3, 5.4, 5.7, 5.8= 25

Found and fixed, Keltie Lee - thanks for the quick heads up. Clearly, I had not had enough coffee when I updated the spreadsheet this morning before work!

Oops. Sorry about that. I think I saw the author name example and completely missed the consecutive part.

Donna Jo you should be able to go to Elizabeth NC's profile page by clicking on her picture. Then just do a copy of the entire goodreads address that shows in the very top box of your browser and paste that into your repost. Good luck.

Task 30.5 requires that you include your home country in your post. This info is necessary since the task requires that your 2 books be set in countries other than your home country.

There's no Jessica Ann on the Readerboard. Since your post indicates that you already have points, I'm guessing that you have some other readerboard name - please repost your task including your readerboard name.

Task 30.1, option 6 requires that you state the anagrammed word in your post.

Just an FYI - task 10.2 requires that the oreo combination be in the book's title, not the author's name. In this case, though, there is an oreo combination in the title as well, so you're okay on this.

Task 30.7 requires you to choose one Awesome Matchup, and then read books from 2 of the 3 choices for that Matchup. Your post won't work, because it draws from 2 different matchups.

Since the number of pages is key to option A in task 25.1, you need to link to an edition with >500 pages that is not a large print edition.

Yes, but you can't count the pages of a large print book when the number of pages is in issue - so, you can't use the number of pages in a large print book to establish a page count >500.
From the Rules of the Challenge:
12. Large Type books may be used. The mass market paperback edition of the title must meet the 100 page threshold. If there is no mass market paperback edition, use the paperback edition and if no paperback is available use the hardcover edition. Big Book tickets may be claimed for Large Type books if the mass market paperback meets the Big Book requirement. If there is no mass market paperback edition, use the paperback edition and if no paperback is available use the hardcover edition.
In this case, since the task requires a book with >500 pages, the alternate editions must establish the page requirement.

Hi, moderators! Just wanted to let you guys know that my Goodreads Author total as listed in the Readerboard thread is incorrect.
The Readerboard says that my total is 6, but I should have 7; I've claimed 6 books by Brian Wood and 1 book by Andrew Kaufman.

That's because your last book by Brian Wood was reported in message 767 and the GRA have only been updated through 750.

The book you claimed for 20.6, Letters to Elise: A Peter Townsend Novella does not appear to exist in paper form. While audio versions are listed, none of them give any information that would verify the number of pages.

We are going to accept this because it was in the spreadsheet so you presumably relied on this. However, it was approved before we realized that the GR page counts are completely unreliable. We checked, and it is clear that this book is about 65 pages so does not meet the requirements.
Although we are going to accept it this time, everyone should be aware that it will not be accepted in the future.

You must post a link to books that you claim for a task. See the first post in the completed tasks thread, referencing the rules changes that were posted in May for the summer challenge.

This may seem like a pain for the participants, but please consider how many posts (and tasks within those posts) the moderators have to deal with in the challenge. Having to do a search for books is more time-consuming for us than clicking on a link, and we have to try to streamline this process.
