Deanna, I checked with the task creator and a brand name is not the same as an accessory or article of clothing, so this book won't work.
You may want to run this by the task creator in the help thread and get her thoughts on it. On my way...

Okay, I thought the boot in bootscootin' would also work. I have another book in my TBR that will work, Ties That Bind and yes, that refers to actual neckties. :)

well, the task says the title must contain an article of clothing. Since "bootscootin" is not an article of clothing and Cindie didn't specifically allow words that are not articles of clothing (but contain the words as part of another word), you'd have to check with her as to whether she wants to allow broadening the task like that.

Task 5.4.Heatstrokeshows as only being 71 pages. This isn't enough, even for one 5 point task.
Task 5.10. Office Affair appears to only exist in ebook form - you must post information about the verification of the page length in the help thread.
Task 30.4. Out in the Field appears to be another ebook only.

I got all of them approved already in the ebook thread- I gave the word count for Heatstroke from Allromance.com and it's ok for a 5 pt. task. The GR page number is not accurate.
*I just checked and all ebooks listed are on the spreadsheet and all approved*
I think you need to put the post number it was approved in (or spreadsheet line) - its a change to the rules for this season

yep - one of the first threads for the group - that is the one I remember and that you have to include the link to the book you are claiming

Thank you for pointing it out! I completely misread the task and thought it was 2 Ns or 2 Os. So much for not having enough caffeine before posting! I'll move the book to a different task.

Abbie - post 412If you would like to claim Goodreads Author tickets, you need to indicate in your posts exactly which authors are Goodreads Authors (GRA). A running tally at the bottom is not sufficient. To get credit for the GRAs in post 412, you need to repost the tasks that contain books by GRAs. Please note in your repost that its purpose is to claim GRA tickets.

I guess I don't understand your post. The readerboard shows you with 135 points. In post # 440, you didn't include all your points in your total, only saying that you had 115, but 135 is correct.

Option 1 of task 25.2 requires that you read the first published book by an author. From looking at the list of books by Jeanne DuPrau, she published several books before The City of Ember.

Books must be at least 100 pages long to qualify for points. For task 30.11, you claimed Lady Susan, which is only 80 pages long. If you read an edition with more than 100 pages, please repost, linking that edition, but please keep in mind that the number of pages in a large print book cannot be used to meet the minimum page requirement.

You must post a link to the book to claim a book for a task, and to the author to claim a GR author ticket. Please repost for task 30.4, including the required links.
Emily Bookshelf - post 523To claim a Goodreads author (GRA) ticket, you must specifically point out exactly which author is a GRA and provide a link to that author. The tally of GRA at the bottom of your post is not sufficient (people just keep a running tally for their records). Please repost any tasks that you'd like to claim GRA tickets for, noting that the purpose of the repost is to claim GRA tickets.

This may seem like a pain for the participants, but please consider how many posts (and tasks within those posts) the moderators have to deal with in the challenge. Having to do a search for books is more time-consuming for us than clicking on a link, and we have to try to streamline this process.

You listed Duck, Duck, Goose twice, but since you showed a cover picture of a different book for the first one, I'm guessing that the name of the book was incorrect. I gave you credit for the task, but if you did in fact list the same book twice, please let me know. If the cover was actually the correct book, no need to do anything.

The cover was correct. The title was supposed to be Duck & Goose. I knew I'd make a mistake with one of my posts today!

I'm sorry, I thought this meant that the title or subtitle had to be the color white or grey? Is this not correct? It has to be the word?

no, it has to be the word. that's why it says the words must match exactly and must be standalone words.

30.11, option 1, requires that the words that repeat the first letter in the title be consecutive. Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic won't work for this one, since the words beginning with F are not consecutive.
