Everyone was going about their daily things when a scientific experiment went VERY wrong. A leading group in space technology had launched a small (but powerful) un-manned rocket. Its target was a distant planet in another galaxy which had shown suspicious activity, and it's goal was to reach that planet and test the soil there and send back it's chemical composition(as usual) and take pictures which were to be transferred to earth. But on the way to it's destined planet the rocket had veered off course and been pulled towards a vast planet with the properties of a black hole. According to Stephen Hawking, black holes are supposed to emit radiation. We'll never know if black holes emit radiation but the planet the rocked was sucked into was HIGHLY Radioactive with and atmosphere that had extremely unstable chemical properties. Due to reason still unconfirmed (probably due to the fuel the rocket was using) the atmospheric chemical and the radioactive land(if it was land) reacted tremendously.

The rocket exploded along with the whole planet. But this planet was HUGE...so big that some of the pieces and particles of the planet along with their strange chemicals and radioactivity(it's still unknown what is the actual source of this radiation) made it all the way to earth. They rained down upon earth in forms of meteorite the size of 50 football stadiums. It hit earth 70 years after the rocket hit the planet(it is still a speculation of how the particles hit earth so soon after the planet exploded, because technically even with the speed of light, they should have taken millions of light years to reach earth). The meteorite with all its chemicals and radioactivity landed in the oceanic trenches. A blanket of Radiation spread over the world. The sea water mixed with the chemicals...great storms hit the world, earthquakes in places like australia (no earthquakes possible in aussie) , tsunamis and hurricanes in places where the they should have been impossible, hit with spectacular force. But that's not all. People and animals started to change, to mutate. Fish and sea creatures turned into monstrous beings...lizards grew to incredible sizes became dragon like creatures...wolves-terrifying beasts. Humans...they developed powers, weird mutations...and everyone above the age of 20 and below the age of 3 started dying in gruesome ways. Corpses filled the streets, screams of the injured from the storms and earthquakes became a constant background noise. Little pieces broke off of from the larger meteorite rained down on people...and killed some and scarred others for life.

How will the kids survive in a world where they can only depend on themselves? No parents to take care of them, little kids to think about... the monsters, the injured, the horrid smell...lack of non-contaminated water or food...or even air.
