I want her to just… not be a Sue! But she won’t! She’ll just keep Mary Sue-ing until the end of the series! An idiotic, annoying, boring, MARY SUE. There’s at least one as a main character in every book I read. Ginny. Why couldn’t Harry marry Luna?! It would be the best pairing ever! Now, we have… Piper. “Oh, I’m so pretty! I must cut my hair with safety scissors!” “Jason is MINEEEEEEE!” “Die, Drew!” “I’m too powerful! Charmspeaker! *gasp*” “Jason is hooooot *drool**stare*” “I’m betraying my friends by saving my dad… OMG!” (seriously? They’re just people. This is your dad. What the heck?) Those are all the thoughts I received from her. She just SCREAMS Sue. She’s die hard pretty (but she’s a daughter of Aphy, so I’ll let this slide.) she has no flaws. All boys drool over her. She can control people! She has SUCH a TRAGIC backstory (COUGH COUGH NOT) and she can’t decide between the man who met her mother who gave her life, and some hot dude she met on a bus…

I personally think that she should be thinking less about Jason, ya know? He’s apparently her boyfriend (gag) in Mark Of Athena, so, maybe she’ll just, I dunno, stop thinking about how she wants to make out with him or something.

Thta’s sorta cliché. He needs her to be a fighter more often. Or all the time. Show that females can be strong too, even if they aren’t a child of Athena or Ares. Or Zeus and Hades for that matter. Like Katie, who ’seems’ to be a pretty strong character. (How the heck did Tratie come up anyways? I don’t really remember Travis and Katie making much contact in the books).

Hm… she is pretty good sometimes, but I wouldn’t say she has clever thinking per say [is that how you type that] I mean, she has some pretty good ideas, you can’t exactly deny that. So that’s one thing, but otherwise, I dunno, she just needs more flaws.

True… true… so maybe she does love him… ish. It shouldn’t be very hard to tell people “I’m sorry, guys, but I care about my dad more.” and if they can’t accept that, find new friends! Because, well, your dad is more important than two people you met on a bus, I’m sorry about that. If you compared her to Annabeth, then fine. Her father neglected her, and when Annabeth was merely seven years old, she found camp. Clarisse, well, she’s a daughter of Ares. Nothing more. Nothing less. Silena gave her life for camp, and fought the Drakon to fix her mistakes. Whoa. That’s awesomeness - in a child of Aphrodite - right there.

Piper is disgusting, she gets on my nerves. All she does is whine & complain & cry about how she cant belive Jason cant remember her. about her dad never having time for her. compared to other demigods she's lucky, she was'nt attacked by monsters when she was a kid, she didnt have to runaway from home at the age of 7. She is just soo ungrateful & selfish

ok trying not to get mad here but are you kidding me you guys how the heck would you feel if your dad got kidnapped huh how what if your dad had never enough time for you and so what if her back story wasnt as terrible as the others that dosent mean everything about a charater just because sombody has a bad back story dosent mean there the best person ever if you acctuly think about it she dose have a bad back story and so what she loves jason why dose that mean anything she loves him and one she dosnt think shes pretty she dosent even want to be pretty thats why she cuts her hair with safty scissiors and she dosnt even like doing charmspeak to people and when dose she whine and complain serouly SERIOULY!!! and emo queen dont even compare annabeth to piper she loved her dad even though he never had time for her why would she runaway

*headdesk* My point was that it shouldn't be difficult to make a decision between friends and parents. Like, if it were me, and I had a friend I knew for years and years, and I had my parents, and I had to pick one not to see anymore, my clear choice would be my parents.

Okay, let me explain each reason…

Why I didn’t like the whole ‘Dad vs. Friends’ thing: Piper’s dad is her DAD. You can see clearly when she talks to him, he CARES. He’s just a busy guy. I’m not saying I would want him as my dad, [pshh. As if.] I’m just saying that she’s totally unfair to this guy! He’s a famous actor, yet Piper doesn’t see how hard he works. And she steals this BMW, and he’s trying to have some good ol’ father-daughter time, and she can’t see that he’s trying at this moment to be a good dad.

Jason is just a guy. Who cares if he hates her after she saves her dad? Who cares? I mean, this is the basic choice:

‘Hm… Guy I like and KNOW that I’ve only known for a day, or the guy who basically raised me for fifteen years?’

Leo… Well, almost the same reason, but if I remember correctly, she finds him slightly annoying at times.

Cutting Hair With Scissors: Okay, what the heck with this? I didn’t get it. If she doesn’t want to be pretty, fine, but don’t make it obvious by cutting her hair like that. I mean, just… chill. Like, act like a normal person, not someone who’s TRYING to make a statement. When you’re making it clear that you don’t want to be pretty, but you are, then you’re just ASKING for trouble. Also, natural beauty. As long as she doesn’t cake her face with makeup, I’m cool.

Jason loving thing: Okay, fine. She’s a teenage girl going gaga over guys. Fine. I’m cool with this. Sorta. I just hate-hate-hate it when they CONTINUOUSLY think of them. I just want to read about something besides his ‘awesome/handsome/etc’ face.

Complaining: I’m cool with complaining every… fifty or so pages, for about a line or two. Unfortunately, Piper CONTINUOUSLY complains. She just complains all the time. If she voiced all her thoughts…

‘I’m a daughter of Aphrodite, baaaaah.’
‘I can charmspeak, what if I hurt someone? *sad*’
Etc.



I know exactly what I’m talking about. I don’t just randomly say things without reason.

She can be strong at times, true. But she has some pretty irritating moments to me. I totally respect Summer’s opinion. And everyone else’s. I just like to make my point :D
