Leslie I am going to write every day. I will work on the rough draft of my book or transcribe my book from my notebooks into the computer or edit my book or write poetry or write in my journal or work on some other piece of writing, such as a play, personal essay, or short story.

My goals as far as what I want to accomplish this year--finish writing my rough draft and transcribe it into the computer. Edit the entire thing at least once. Circulate 5 copies to people I trust for feedback and copyediting. Begin to research agents. Enter one-minute play festival and ten-minute play festival.

Leslie Thank you very much. I've been working on this project a few years and thinking about it even longer. I'm sure there will days with nothing on the list. I know I won't write every single day, but it's a great goal to shoot for.

message 9: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller | 4362 comments Just keep writing in your mind, even if paper/computer/typewriters aren't available.

message 10: by Leslie (new)

Leslie Yeh, I agree with that. My book is always in my mind, it's sort of like an obsession at this point!

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

very organized! i love it! Can I see some of your rough?

message 12: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller | 4362 comments I'm just like that! I'll be like, crossing the street and an idea will pop into my head and then it'll tie into my story and I'l be all YES! THAT'S PERFECT! And the people around me look at me like I'm insane.

LOL. I did that in class one time. Yeah, I blushed and then was like, "uh, sorry. My bad, just ... came up with...." And then everyone stared at me for a really long time.

message 14: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller | 4362 comments lolz I can totally picture myself doing that.
