Jim Webster, (In On a Chance! )

You've got me for the afternoon. Dave has to stay near a bog, poor thing.
He shouldn't have had his alpaca burger rare last night.

Well I haven't found that particular one yet, but another one by the same author..

Tastes vile but really sorts out the altitude headaches."
have to remember that one, what's the proportion of active ingredient? :-)

I wasn't gonna take any but needs must. I just hope it doesn't remain in the system for long as I may need another medical for work when we get back.
Although a doctor mate has assured me it's fine.

Take a packet label back with you to show them if you need supporting evidence?

The leaves are just stripped off the plants and left out in bowls in all the hotels.
Coca candy is packaged, though. I bought a packet but they're very sweet.

The leaves of the coca plant contain alkaloids which—when extracted chemically—are the source for cocaine base. However, the amount of coca alkaloid in the raw leaves is small. A cup of coca tea prepared from one gram of coca leaves (the typical contents of a tea bag) contains approximately 4.2 mg of organic coca alkaloid.[1] (In comparison, a line of cocaine contains between 20 and 30 milligrams.[2]) Owing to the presence of these alkaloids, coca tea is a mild stimulant; its consumption may be compared to consumption of coffee or tea.[3] The coca alkaloid content of coca tea is such that the consumption of one cup of coca tea can cause a positive result on a drug test for cocaine,

No worries, then. Will be weeks before I'd need a medical.

If you got into the habit of chewing the leaves on the other hand......
;-)
How about this for an author page, books, poems, medical advice

Now you've lost me I'm afraid, remember I've never actually seen the programme

Great series. I need to watch the fourth season.

Now I'm afraid I've never even heard of that one. Checking the wiki I suspect it's because the mates I have who talk about TV probably haven't got into it yet

I have been distracted during the weekend by rereading all Jim Webster’s 4 fantasy novels, now available in snazzy paperback from Amazon. Apart from constantly evolving plots, colourful characterisation and wit, these are wonderful sources for individual and collective troop training, hand-to-hand combat techniques, army tactics, animal husbandry, field and domestic cookery, cypher breaking, climbing buildings, sleezy lawyers, the women’s high fashion clothing business and clever, attractive and usually respectable determined young ladies, of whom, when faced by two equally pretty examples, a hero rightly in my opinion picks the one who makes good suet pastry and really dark sticky gingerbread. Rather than a single superman hero, there are usually several co-operating, each with different talents and contacts. And now I have to get back to work…
Swords for a Dead Lady
Because you're worth it!

I think he was overwhelmed by the gingerbread. You don't often get good dark sticky gingerbread

It is isn't it.
I sat and watched how over a holiday weekend one person on Amazon.com bought all five fantasy, one after the other, over about three days.
It might have been five people who all bought one, but I like to think it was one person sucked into the full five.
Now I wish they'll encourage their friends to buy :-)
