Jim | 21813 comments you cannot have a main character who's a cartographer and not have a map.
In all candor the same cannot necessarily be said about squid porn.
As for me, I don't even know what sort of porn squid like!

Tim | 8539 comments Don't worry Jim, even I don't look in my thread!

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments You're tempting fate, Tim.

message 3554: by Tim (new)

Tim | 8539 comments Yeah, it'll be full of squid porn next!

message 3555: by M.T. (new)

M.T. McGuire (mtmcguire) | 8051 comments And haddock spam.

message 3557: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Most of that looks like someone's already eaten it once.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Not very appealing, is it!

message 3559: by David (new)

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 7935 comments Looks better than the deep fried guinea pig that Patti left on my author thread. Boak!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I'm not looking at that!

message 3561: by M.T. (new)

M.T. McGuire (mtmcguire) | 8051 comments It is haddock spam though, we have to give it that.

Jim | 21813 comments << Young lady wearing spangly tights enters, walking rather gingerly through the carnival of marine related erotica.
She holds up a large board, showing it to the audience.>>

The board reads.

"This is a public service announcement. If you go to http://www.amazon.co.uk/Swords-Dead-L... you will find the latest edition of Swords for a Dead Lady
If you click the Look Inside feature, you can scroll down and see the map, free and gratis."

<>

"No marine animals have been inconvenienced by the making of this advert."

<< She bows, and leaves >>

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments or spamgly tights?

message 3564: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments Gingerlily - Elephant Philosopher wrote: "or spamgly tights?"

the possibility exists

after all it's an infinite universe :-)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments It is a universe that contains Lady Gaga, so its not unrealistic...

message 3566: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments She has doubtless worn spamgly tights

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments If anyone has, its her!

message 3568: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments http://www.nerdgasmo.com/wp-content/u...

not quite squid but Cthulhu

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I'm not sure I would dare wear those. I might not have any toes left when I take them off...

message 3570: by Tim (new)

Tim | 8539 comments Map is only in black and white :( I tried colouring it in, but the picture kept moving and I got crayon all over the screen.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Er, Tim. Try printing it out first...

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments Colouring in books for adaults are all the rage apparently. Great for 'mindfulness' or some such scallops.

message 3573: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments Gingerlily - Elephant Philosopher wrote: "Er, Tim. Try printing it out first..."

look at the bright side, he's got an elegantly coloured screen and when he does read the book he doesn't have to scroll backwards and forwards looking at the map.

Jim | 21813 comments Rosemary (The Nosemanny) wrote: "Colouring in books for adaults are all the rage apparently. Great for 'mindfulness' or some such scallops."

Apparently they've been selling the Sun newspaper on that premise for years

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments Hahaha. But isn't there a problem with your felt pen bleeding through the paper?

message 3576: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments That may be why they recommend only giving readers wax crayons

message 3577: by Tim (new)

Tim | 8539 comments Wax crayons are great for tribal warpaint too

message 3578: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments As well as providing alternative sources of illumination and novelty desserts for Eskimos

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments The new thing is using colouring pencils to do your make-up...

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments Next they will be discussing the nutritional use of HB pencils.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Will wrote: "Next they will be discussing the nutritional use of HB pencils."

Well they have more nutritional value than some of the crap on sale in the shops...

message 3582: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments the packaging has more nutritional value that some of the stuff they sell as food

message 3583: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Bought another meringue on the way home. Enormous it is. Also a smoked salmon croissant. This new bakery Is dangerous.

message 3584: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments I'm surprised it is still open if they allow smoking whilst making salmon croissants

message 3585: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Oh, that's where I posted! Thought I was in the morning thread!

Actually, you can smoke everywhere here. And everyone does.

Some restaurants have non-smoking sections but people still smoke shisha in them. Apparently shisha doesn't count as smoking.

message 3586: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments Sheesh.

Well obviously

message 3588: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments No squid porn, merely poetry

https://jandbvwebster.wordpress.com/2...

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Not even one little tentacle?

message 3590: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments not even the hint of a tentaclette

There might be a hint of the erotic in 'The Lines Between'
'The Adoration' is perhaps more romantic than erotic

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Well Patti won't be impressed...

message 3592: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments she's abandoned us << sob >>
we're thrust out into a harsh cruel world and left to fend for ourselves

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments While she is having a lovely time seeing things in Peru. And eating things.

message 3594: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments probably too far inland for squid

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments And she hasn't found the guinea pigs yet.

message 3596: by M.T. (new)

M.T. McGuire (mtmcguire) | 8051 comments Giant cornish pasties as far as I can tell... what she's eating, I mean.

message 3597: by Gingerlily - The Full Wild (last edited Jul 10, 2015 02:54PM) (new)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Peruvian pasties. And llama burgers? No, sorry, it was alpaca burgers :)

Definitely not yak burgers.

message 3598: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments And leaving the rest of us to pine slowly away.....

message 3599: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments Anyway, I'm almost a published poet, she cannot do this to us! ;-)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I think you'll find she can.
