To be honest I've always found swimming pretty boring. Especially when you have poor eyesight and cannot wear your glasses. I'd far rather go for a walk
I have the same problem. Hate swimming blind. That's why I prefer pools.
You can get prescription swimming goggles, I hear.
I've heard that too. I'll stick with pools.
They only do to -8 diopter. No use to me, and I agree with Jim, swimming is boring anyway.

When I had my cataracts done there was 12 diopters between each eye, the brain refused to believe both of them and ignored one, so I lost my depth perception.

It's a measurement of optical power for lenses (= the reciprocal of its focal length in metres) A 3 dioptre lens has a focal length of ⅓ metre (333mm)
I still have no idea what a diopter is.

I don't know him as such, although he might have been at events I was at. He's from over Penrith way which is an hour and a half from here but I do know some people who farm over that side.Most of the Fell farmers I know are from the southern and central fells. (It's just an artifact of geography :-)
As for me I'm fine, just had a weekend away, leaving the desktop chained to the desk and my phone (such as it is) switched off the entire time :-)

Yes, the last of the six with crossed legs produced her triplets on Friday. Of the others there are about a dozen left to lamb and they'll probably take the next three or so weeks so we're now in the 'post lambing' phase when we're worming those lambs who've been born a few weeks
I saw Have I got New for You, and they had a clip of David Cameron feeding a lamb. Poor thing looked terrified!

Yes, I've seen that picture all over the place. It expresses the mood of a large part of the country I would think!
