Yeeek! Which reminds me! (M T makes a sharp exit to set up Jim's post on blog)

message 1754: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments Well it's not out until 1st March so it's not urgent yet!

message 1755: by David (new)

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 7935 comments Which body part is MT taking?

message 1756: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments Virtually any

M.T. McGuire (mtmcguire) | 8051 comments Phnark. It's all done and waiting to go. The links even work and everything. I'm a great believer in doing stuff, so if you have something with a long deadline and time you still do the thing because otherwise, when the deadline comes around some enormous double decker bus sized turd flies in from left field and hits the fan and you're left trying to do everything.

Not that I'm cynical or anything but Sod makes all the laws in our house. ;-)

Cheers

MTM

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 7935 comments That's funny, Sod comes round our place too!

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments Well of course, Sod is omnipresent.

Leading to, directly, without passing Go, omnishambles.

M.T. McGuire (mtmcguire) | 8051 comments I think my ambient stress levels are usually quite near the top of the glass.

Cheers

message 1761: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments At that point it's probably time when you sat down and had a quiet glass :-)
You really want to do something creative, sit dunking a banana into a glass of Bailey's or something :-)

message 1762: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Oh, now that sounds good Jim!

Bit early for that here though.

I'll wait til after I've had breakfast.

message 1763: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments Yes very much for when the sun is over the yardarm :-)

Whereas Tia Maria in coffee is to be taken when necessary :-)

message 1764: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Hmmm. I've not seen Tia Maria for sale here. I've not looked for it, mind.

I could do with a new bottle of Cointreau.

message 1765: by M.T. (last edited Feb 21, 2014 12:25AM) (new)

M.T. McGuire (mtmcguire) | 8051 comments Tia Maria with milk is very nice. Not much effect until you've had four, then the protective properties of the milk five out and it hits you all at once.

McOther was home from work at a decent time last night, McMini is still asleep and all's right with the world.

message 1766: by M.T. (new)

M.T. McGuire (mtmcguire) | 8051 comments Oh and Jim, d'you want to do a post for the Gumbee Guild blog on your tour?

Cheers

MTM

message 1767: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Yes he does.

I'll let him know what he's gonna write about.

message 1768: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments OK Patti, what's it going to be?

message 1769: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Sentient volcanos. I know you can do the subject justice, unlike others.

message 1770: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments Well here it is, but not on the gumbee thread because I think that needs something different

http://jandbvwebster.wordpress.com/20...

message 1771: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments You're right.

Sentient brambles.

message 1772: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Still hunting for evidence of sentient people!
Present company excepted OF COURSE!

message 1773: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments And if we're looking for sentience, who'll be smart enough to take up this fabulous offer?
Who's smart enough to know what fabulous really means?

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 7935 comments Good luck with the new book :~)

Jim | 21813 comments Thanks for that :-)

message 1785: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments I'm now a little shocked by just how many bloggers promised to mention the book! Most of them talked me into writing something for them.

http://suddenlytheyalldied.com/2014/0...

In this one I write about how I try and keep the plots straight

message 1786: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments Such words of wisdom, such wit, such insight, how does this chap do it

http://morgenbailey.wordpress.com/201...

and at the same time retain his essential humility!

message 1787: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments One thing that is intriguing me. You see I decided I'd see how fast the book got read because at some point someone is going to post 'So you've put ...... into the book!'

So I'm sort of waiting to see who spots it first :-)

message 1788: by David (new)

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 7935 comments I've put ellipses in all my books, Jim.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Maybe Jim put an eclipse in his by mistake...

message 1790: by David (new)

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 7935 comments No he definitely means the ellipses, because he wants to see who spots the spots first.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments And an author can't change his spots. No, hang on, was that an author or something else?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Leopard, author, same thing really...

message 1794: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments I was merely copying the techniques of the master

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Which master?

message 1796: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments I thought it was Witchfinder not Whichmaster?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Ringmaster. The 1000 elephants have arrived.

message 1798: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments There can be only one.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Elephant? I'm pretty sure there are 1000 of them. Although its a little difficult to count as they won't stand still in nice neat lines...
