I have always liked John Buchan, and I suspect it was as a result of a few beers in a London pub with me that set Peter off in this particular direction :-)
However it is a classic plot and cries out to every writer to take it and rework it in your own style.
Also you've introduced me to Andrew Greig who I'd never heard about. Reading the various reviews and looking at his books sales rank it strikes me that he's on the cusp of being really successful

Extreme close up! It's amazing the tactics some authors will employ ;~)

I merely offered up a few recipes, I've got to be careful here because if I use the word 'eating' Patti will probably wet herself :-)
