Apparently the morning is supposed to be dry before the next lot of rain rolls in
So I might get to look sheep without being soaked, for a change!

Good lord! 😉"
It's OK, I've had coffee again :-)

If you’re looking for some entertaining short stories to dip into, I can recommend this book.
But don’t blame me if you read the whole book in one sitting the way I did.

If the Cats can cope with it, he surely can

oh I enjoy reading on the train, only the scenery gets in the way :-)

As long as it doesn't get in the way of the train you're ok.

A poet...and a delightful rogue

Tallis Steelyard is a poet with champagne tastes on a beer budget. Chased out of town, and into the bay, by irate creditors, he's rescued by a passing boat and given the opportunity to become a part of the crew. Thereafter follow a series of adventures, many funny, before Tallis can finally return home again.
I thoroughly enjoyed the story and recommend it highly!

Just came out of nowhere. Given how I've barely sold half a dozen copies in the US, I wasn't expecting anything :-)

The first is
Swimming for Profit and Pleasure

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...
Benor learns a new craft, joins the second hand book trade, attempts to rescue a friend and awakens a terror from the deep. Meddling in the affairs of mages is unwise, even if they have been assumed to be dead for centuries.
The second is
The Plight of the Lady Gingerlily:

No good deed goes unpunished. To help make ends meet, Benor takes on a few small jobs, to find a lost husband, to vet potential suitors for two young ladies, and to find a tenant for an empty house. He began to feel that things were getting out of hand when somebody attempted to drown him
The second novella was the result of a cunning plan. To provide the anecdotes for a blog tour to promote the first novella, I'd get people to send me pictures and I'd do a Benor short story to go with each.
The minute the first two pictures arrived it was obvious that they were the beginning and the end of a novella, and a certain person, not to be named, sent several more, which sort of fitted beautifully in the middle.
So this novella is a tribute to the Lady Gingerlily :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars Another excellent Benor Mystery.

The tale starts with a description of squid autopsy procedures.
Then, we find out how Benor learns the skill of deep sea diving, and running a bookshop.
The story soon develops into a ‘Benor needs to find and rescue a friend’ theme.
Luckily, Kara Halon (who works for The Purveyors of Magic) is on hand and joins him for a swim with a difference.
Great stuff...
