No, Kris is better. . . okay I'm done. I do NOT want to get into this. :D

ha ha ha . . . *gets scared* :D

I haven't dropped by in a while! I hope all is well! How's the Soulfire editing going? Is school out for summer yet?
Pan! It's so good to see you! BTW - Bruno went missing a while ago, if you see him, could you tell him that I miss him, and want him to come home?
:D

Julie:
Hey, Jules! All's good! I've actually finished Phase 1 of editing, which means I went through and edited it. Now, I'm getting someone else (aka Mom) to go through and edit.
YES! Thank God. Although, summer camp isn't too different from school... JK It's way more fun. :)
Pan: *sniffs, then nods head in agreement*

Wow, that was cheesy.
Lol Paige. I still luv ya :D Even though you voted for Adam. :D LOL

YAY! I'm happy phase one of editing is finished! Yeah, mom is always a good place to start. If you have any teachers, or aunts, or cousins you trust, they may be a good source too.
I'm glad camp is going well too, and more fun than school!
Here's to a happy writing day!

Hey guys,
I'm really bored and I wondered what would happen if I left a baby at Paul's place. So that's what I'm going to do! It's a robot but a very sophisticated robot that with the help of magic can do all that a human baby can do as well as grow up. I haven't created multiples for fear of a Rozen Maiden reaction. Which has happened before when multiple dolls have been created with magic. My great great grandmother made multiples of these dolls and they will kill anything and anyone denying the dolls of attention from there orderer.
No people were harmed in the making of this letter

Yeah, camp is cool. It's good for me too, which Mom likes.
Yeah, I'm happy about the editing, but I'm also kind of pissed at my Mom...
I printed out the first edited Soulfire like she asked (she doesn't like to edit on the computer) and put it in a binder with a cover and everything so she could start editing it. Then we had a 6 hour car ride to Mammoth (nearby mountains where I'm writing this from), I thought for sure it was the perfect opportunity to read/revise it, and she'd totally be all over it.
And what did she do? She spent the 3 hours that she wasn't driving sleeping + just sitting there. I was all, what the hell? Then I snapped at her about it and she yelled at me about "attitude" and being "overly bossy".
Which is totally hypocritical, considering the fact that she got mad at me when she asked me what I was working on, and I said editing, and she said [and I quote:] "Why didn't you come to me for help?"
GRRR. I can't win.
And, that binder is currently sitting on the coffee table where I strategically placed it, untouched. GAH.
Okay, I'm done ranting now.

I'll be staying away from Paul's cubi, then.... This seems like a bad plan, but okay...

Hey Paige, guess what I did the same with my mom too! I printed out my entire story for her to read, and she's only read the first page. We went on the longest trip ever, and all she did was sleep, and she hasn't touched it. And I mean, two days ago, when I went on a 7 hour trip, she didn't even bring it. It makes me mad, My dad's the only one that's read it, and he's only gotten to chapter two out of 46. I feel your pain. :D

Grrrrr.
Sad, parents are just that way you know?
Really, they don't. I tried to explain to my mom about the whole publishing stuff, and she looked at me, and said, "You need to realize Cali, that it may take years for someone to accept your book. Sometimes you need to live in reality, and stop dreaming every once in awhile."
That sure left a damper on me.
That sure left a damper on me.

WTF IS WRONG WITH YOUR MOTHER@@!!!!!!
sorry....
She was angry that night I guess, seeing that her dad had died the day prior. So yeah, I'm just assuming it was that. :D

Ouch, I'm sorry to hear that Cali.
As an adult though, I will say one thing. It's good to have a real-world plan, and a creative plan. The real-world plan pays the bills, and the creative plan is for fun, keeps you 'sane', and maybe one day WILL pay off. It's wonderful to have BOTH. Your mom is probably concerned with you having a "real world" plan.
Here's the thing though: you are young, and it's summer. WRITE! You have the rest of your life to work, and be responsible. Having your head in the clouds in the summer is wonderful! (I'm trying to set aside as much "head in the clouds" time as possible!)

Hey Tink!
It's still great that you are at the editing stage! Give your mom time, she'll come around. And think about a few other people to ask too. Sometimes it's hard to get criticism from ones parents.

Haha! Go for it! I will say...it's HARD work. You get paid for the 8 hours you are actually teaching...not for all the preparation, and grading, and other committee tasks that are also an assumed part of the job. Then again, no teacher is in it for the money. :D It is definitely a rewarding career. It feels good to know I make (or try my darnedest) a difference.

I know how you feel, Tink. I gave my mom a copy of my edited manuscript to read about 6 months ago, and I'm still waiting....

Since I have no idea when I'm going to finish editing Soulfire *cough cough MOM cough cough* I've started the sequel! YAY! I'll be posting updates frequently.

WC: 952 words (The prologue + Chapter One)
Story: ????? (Currently Unnamed- Soulfire Sequel)
Total for this story: 952 words (Prologue+ One Chapter)
Goal: Achieved!

BTW, I never finished Soulfire, is it posted somewhere? I think I tried to find it but was missing. If possible, it would be great to finish Soulfire before checking out the sequel.
Oh, and I've got an idea to help you mom start the story. If you see she's, say, doing the laundry say, "Mom, I can do that, if it gives you more time to read Soulfire."
Then again, you may have already tried that. It's just a thought.
