The author has a nom de plume and once you read The Shaken Cradle you will understand why. The author is a nurse who did work on an outreach programme in Sydney with mothers and babies who were high risk and whose issues did include child protection and abuse as well as serious mental health issues. Truth is always stranger than fiction and this certainly applies to The Shaken Cradle.
