You probably read Alisa's earlier message, but here it are highlights:
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the "add book/author" feature when you are ready to cite a book. (There is a link on the top right of the reply box.) It makes things so much easier for people to see your book recommendations, because they can see the cover and the links to the author. And it helps the goodreads software connect books with groups that talk about them.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask us moderators. I look forward to your postings.

Nice to see you join the group. I am sure you will have a great time discussing great books and great moments in history. I also have a keen interest European history so I hope to catch up with you for a chat in those threads sometime soon.

Yes and I appreciated that. I am especially cognizant of each new author who joins and we are delignted to have each and all. However, for every new join we try to point out the guidelines at the beginning to avoid any accidental issues down the road. As you can see our assisting mods post the policies and practices and orientation and roadmap for everyone.
Take care and enjoy the group...it is a good place.

Glad to have you with us Christy. Check out message 1377 from Aussie Rick with some helpful links to get you off to a great start.

We do have a few important and easy to follow guidelines, one of them is the use of the add book/author feature whenever you reference a book. It makes things so much easier for people to see your book recommendations, because they can see the cover and the links to the author. And it helps the goodreads software connect books with groups that talk about them.

Hello, everyone. My name is James and I love reading History books, particularly nautical history through the ages. My bookshelf here is nowhere near complete, but I am adding to it when I can.
I live in New Brunswick, Canada.
