I'm in the exact same position, as a matter of fact. My collection (nearly a thousand books, though that includes a medium-sized storage bin of picture books) has gotten to the point at which my parents have started to complain. :/

A little about myself--I'm 28, married and I will be working as a programmer in a little more than a week (yay new jobs). I've always loved reading and tend to gravitate towards Paranormal or Fantasy novels. I also enjoy the odd historical book once in awhile but usually I'm reading about ghosts :)
I hope to make a lot of new friends and have my book horizons expanded.

I'm in Philly, I live with my 2 best friends, and I'm wroking on getting a hidden door installed behind my overflowing bookshelf into a secret room where it can't be accessed from the outside. :3

Just joined today! I'm 16 and lives in New Zealand.
I love books! It's my way to escape reality :)

Hi - Just joined the group. I love reading. I work to buy books so it seems. Based on my work load with determine how much I can devote to my books. I am mom to one pre-teen girl, live in Georgia, work in both a hospital and Dr's office as a respiratory therapist. (hoping to change my career to education) Just finished my 12th book for the year and currently have about 5 books or so that I am reading. I enjoy reading all different genres of books - they just have to catch me with the first few chapters to keep me hooked. Take care and chat with you all soon.

I'm also new! I'm in my mid-30s and, surprisingly, love to read ;-).
My first read for this group will be "Divergent", which I've just started today. As I'm on holiday right now, I hope to finish it soon!
I'm not quite sure what to do with "Divergent" now - there's already a thread about it, but I don't think I'll join it because of possible spoilers...

I've just skimmed the Divergent thread, and it doesn't seem like there's anything remotely resembling a spoiler in there, so you're probably safe.
Though now that you've got me thinking, I think I'll make a note about spoilers. Does "spoilers must be tagged if posted before the month is over" sound fair?
