I got a question from a library patron wondering if any short stories or novels have been written about a society where queer culture is dominant (and heterosexual culture is the minority)? Or if you've seen a film or short on this subject, clues, names, authors would be appreciated!

I was not specifically searching for YA but thought it would be more fruitful. I am very grateful for your suggestion, and would welcome more, if anyone has ideas, YA or Adult.....
In Ethan of Athos the main character is from a planet where there are only men (and they grow babies in uterine replicators and raise them in gay families) although most of the story takes the MC into the wider galaxy where there are (gasp) women and heterosexuals. It's actually a great book, but the gay society is only a fraction of the book.This is not specifically YA but would be fine for YAs
The curious patron who wanted the answer is actually in his 70s; he gives us the most challenging reference questions! I'm glad I have another to add to the list. My librarian friend remembers seeing a 5 min. film short at the Frameline film festival in SF, a long long time ago, that was about a high school/society where it was the norm to take a same-sex partner to the prom, and the lone heterosexual had to sneak an opposite-sex invite to the prom, turning everything on its head. Wonder if anyone else saw that.
I'm reposting original comment #2 by Nikyta just to take out book links to explicit non-YA books (per our group policy.)"It's not YA but JL Langley has a series called Sci-Regency that is like that. So far there's only two books in the series - My Fair Captain & The Englor Affair"
