Some clues/answers regarding Clockwork Princess

Ok, so I sent Cassandra Clare two question on her Tumblr and I got these replies. I don't know what to make of them, or simply ignore them so I thought I should share it with you guys! :)
Q1: I have a feeling that one of the main characters we are believing to be good or noble is actually not what he pretends to be. Surely, nobody is that kind and humble. I am guessing he has a secret we don't know of. Everything that glitters is not gold. Does this make any sense, Cassandra?
Ans: As long as you don’t mean Magnus!
Q2: After reading your books, there is one question in my mind. Do you have a weakness for bad boys with a good heart? Because only that would explain the awesomeness of Will Herondale and Jace Wayland! :)

To the first part- I was referring to Jem. I have a feeling he has a secret and is not as good as he pretends to be. I think his secret is that he knows he is not going to die. That's just my guess though.
And I asked the second question keeping in mind the love of Jace and Clary and how Cassandra is making them end up together. She's written a similar kind of character with Will which made me suspect she a thing for bad boys. Because if she does, just like Clary and Jace are together she is going to make Will and Tessa end up together too! ^_^
Anyway, what do you guys think of this? Am I overthinking this?

thats not right jem knows he is gonna die and i do agree bout the bad boys with a good heart i guess they always win the girl but never insult jem!!!
I can see where you’re coming from with Jem. I believe he has some kind of secret but I don’t believe he would keep a secret like that knowing there are people in his life that need and want him around and keep them worrying. Plus he’s been faking it all this time??

I'm in a hurry at the moment... so I'll just make this quick and come back later... but you raise an interesting theory about how Jem could be faking knowing he's going to die, but how could he fake coughing up blood and everything? unless he has another illness.... hmm
Jem? Sinister? No! Just no! I love him tooooo much for him to turn bad.] If Jem has secrets I doubt they'll change how I perceive him to much
