Hi Rachel,

Not your standard romance, but definitely a build-up to something romantic. Book three had a bit of a love-quadrangle going on. But, what I particularly liked about this series were the vampires. If you are after a change of scenery, these vamps although still sexy, have more bite.

So do you have to get far into the book to get romantic elements or is there something going on from the beginning?

Or is this more of a paranormal story, not really romance, more than anything?

Noodle The Naughty Night Owl (noodlethenaughtynightowl) Hi Didi,

Gosh, now you've put me on the spot. To be honest, it has been a while since I read the first in the series, so I can't be sure when the romance starts. There is something between the vampire and lead female. And also between her, (Gen) and a workmate. I would class this more a paranormal story, than strictly romance, but romance does exist - just not explicit love scenes (at least not yet).

I like a little romance in my story and although this one is not in your face romance, it is a great story with enough to have kept me going throughout.

Hope that helps!

Thanks Didi! Your recommendation for the Dulcie O'Neil series was brilliant. I am already on book two and absolutely love Dulcie and Knight.

This is a fantastic forum with super suggestions. Thanks guys!

Katrina I would have to say my favorite series is actually by Sunny the series is of the Monre (children of the moon). The first book is Mona Lisa Awakening (Monère Children of the Moon, #1) by Sunny . If you like the first you will like the others. She does have multiple partners, but only in a novella, does she have a threesome. So if you're ok with that I highly recommend.

Another good series is the Goddess Summoning series by P. C. Cast, Kristin Cast and these are the books...They are all stand alone and if you like Greek mythology and strong heroines you will like these!

Goddess of the Sea (Goddess Summoning, #1) by P.C. Cast Goddess of Spring (Goddess Summoning, #2) by P.C. Cast Goddess of Light (Goddess Summoning, #3) by P.C. Cast Goddess of the Rose (Goddess Summoning, #4) by P.C. Cast Goddess of Love (Goddess Summoning, #5) by P.C. Cast Warrior Rising (Goddess Summoning, #6) by P.C. Cast Goddess of Legend (Goddess Summoning, #7) by P.C. Cast
