Thank you for sharing, I was laughing my head off, which isn't a good thing when you're at work... now everybody thinks i've lost a screw or two.

Angel: Welcome! It also kind of lessens the productivity. When I first discovered the site(back when the HP posts are still available) I have the site open in a tab the entire day. True story.

well, my boss has been away for more than a week now, so my productivity is close to non-existent since my work revolves around him (sounds like a housewife, but I'm not). which is why this is a welcome distraction and makes me look busy in front of others... *grins wickedly*
Hi guys! Good to know there's a lot of us who's excited for LOTR kahit old school c Tolkien. LOLKudos to those who have started already! Ako this week pa lang. :) Thanks Aaron for the link! Man, that will help a lot. :D
for technical and factual questions, Jzhun is the man for you!
sa akin na lang ang insightful questions. the first one i will post this week ;)
Maria, I am excited to answer insightful questions. I love insightful questions!Tolkienese couple: Maria and Jzhun. Parang si Arwen at si Aragorn. (tama/bagay ba?)
Re: couples sa story/myths/tales from LOTR, I like Tom Bombadil at Goldberry River-Daughter, but Beren at Tinúviel is my favorite tale/poem kahit heartbreaking and sad hehe
Tricia wrote: "Nasa movie kaya sila? Haha oo, agree, ang ganda ni Arwen!"Hindi ko lang alam kung isasama ang story ni Beren at Tinúviel—which was inspired by the true love story of John Ronald Reuel and his childhood sweet heart and wife, Edith—sa movie ng The Hobbit. Focus ata ng Dec. 14 movie yong vanquishing of the Necromancer (Sauron) from Mirkwood through the powers of the White Council.
I think they were mentioned in The Children of Hurin. ;)
K.D. wrote: "I agree with Monique. Nabasa ko yan sa Rough Guide. Ako na ang madaya! :)"For at least, there's nothing wrong with reading a companion guide. :)
Hi guys! I read the Fellowship along an audio book. I believe LS have a copy in the Box, too; but I listened from youtube. It was fun listening to the songs and poems. For me, listening to the characters sing made reading the book much fruitful. And if you want to listen to Gollum sing here's a link. It always make my day whenever I'm in need of some boosting.
@Jzhun, wait, Dec14 movie? I haven't read any updates about the adaptation lately, is the movie divided into 2 or something?
Tricia wrote: "@Jzhun, wait, Dec14 movie? I haven't read any updates about the adaptation lately, is the movie divided into 2 or something?"Yup, The Hobbit is divided into two parts :)
Tricia wrote: "I wonder when will Maria unleash her Tolkienese dorkiness (huh, what)"oh, man. sana hnd lumabas. lol
Haha! May tinatagong dorkness si Maria. (sorry, why am I overusing the word dork? :P)Have anyone here read the Magical World of LOTR by Colbert? Di ko maappreciate masyado kasi parang need tapusin ang whole trilogy haha pero very nice yung info about Middle Earth being England and WWII

He really means it Maria!
LOL!Patience is the virtue of a handsome gentleman. *ubo!*
Tricia wrote: "Is Sam Gamgee gay hahaha too much love for Frodo. I think this is one of the meaty questions that our dear book moderator will tackle.
Interestingly, in our generation why do we equate camaraderie and loyalty of men to his other fellow such a thing, or what we call nowadays as bromance? I do get a lot of it, especially when I read the friendship / partnership of Sherlock Holmes and Dr John H. Watson in the Canon.
Tricia wrote: "Is Sam Gamgee gay hahaha too much love for Frodo. Ang awkward lang :P"i don't find it awkward.in fact, Sam's loyalty to Frodo is the one that made me really love this book. He's my fave character dhl jan.
what i wouldn't give to have that kind of friend. :)
(i think i'm talking about book 3 na, LOL)
I'm just kidding with Sam!
Tricia, biglang nag-explain? hak hak. Hinahamon kita!
K.D. wrote: "Kidlat, nasaan ka? Hinahamon kita!"Now you've heard it folks, that's Kuya D's (Dandalf) version of Gandalf's You shall not pass! quote. :)

I agree with Maria (syempre Moderator 'yan e). I believe Sam is the strongest character in LORT. He was not ashamed to speak of his fear, but he always has the mind to think straight and the heart to face those fears. For me, si Sam ang bida in this epical trilogy.
Last feedback ni Angus, nage-enjoy siya hak hak.Kailangan kasi may sasalungat.
