This was buddy read before. Not sure up to which book they were able to finish. I remember I joined the Book 1 reading and discussion.

LS, I have a copy of the book. Chapters are not by numbers but by POV of characters, na mukhang marami. Chapters are titled Bran/Daenyrs/Eddard/Jon/Catelyn, etc. And there is no table of contents. But there are about 800 pages, so maybe we can divide it by that...or anything goes, no reading plan :)

Lynai: Game. I still have to buy the book though. What's the title of Book 2.

Know what, there are parts in Book 1 that bored me. I think I am a bit old for this kind of fantasy. But since that book was a gift from Dra. Ranee, I still finished it and I liked it. So, I am not sure about reading faster than you because I have no idea if the succeeding books will be as "interesting" as Book 1.

Kung may tinatawag na palengke meet up na freewheeling, ito yong tinatawag na palengke buddy read! Walang schedule. Kahit ano na lang tungkol sa book hak hak. Which is still okay basta ba nagbabasa (o nakikinig) at natatapos :)

Like what I wrote on my status, feel ko every chapter na matapos ko dito dapat magcelebrate ako kasi it gets closer and closer to the end. Haha!

Anyway, I just finished Catelyn I, and so far, I find it very readable. Mamaya basa ulit sa gym. :D

(view spoiler)[1. The fate of Bran - Poor Bran! I think he'll be fine though. I hope he will and please no amnesia. I want him to tell everyone what he had witnessed.
2. The fate of Jon Snow - One of my favorite characters so far. Despite his household status, he was kind and loving to his siblings and respectful towards Catelyn. Hoping he would heed to Tyrion's advice of knowing himself and making it a strength than letting others use it against him...Pero but parang (conyotic?) I feel that this is a making of a villian, good at first then because of circumstances, seeks revenge.
3. Jaime and Cersei - incest alert! and they are twins, for Pete's sake. Will they be discovered? I mean Tyrion and Bran already know, but who will tell the King?
4. Mysterious "murder" of Jon Arryn -- Was he indeed murdered? At this point in the novel, it seems as if Cersei was behind it.... Pero but parang hindi :)
5. What lies beyond the wall.
6. How will Viserys claim back the seven houses. (hide spoiler)]

After having a Chuck marathon last night, I was able to read until half of Eddard. I have seen the HBO version of this book so I'm still comparing and things are still familiar. I can't wait to see things that weren't done in the series.

I'm back at Eddard's POV, although, I really like Daenerys and am looking forward to her POVs. Funny how I was apprehensive about Bran's POV since I know what's going to happen. So far, it's easy to read. Not as fast as I'd want it, but not bad. How's everybody else doing?
