He sighed softly, looking back down at the book he had begun to read. He stood up, walking over to her. He looked at the book she had grabbed over her shoulder, raising an eyebrow. "Angels?"
(Last post.)Destiny slightly startled flickered her gaze to his eyes before glancing back down at the book in her hands. "So?" She turns around to face him and offers him the book. "Ever read it before? Since I arrived, I've been reading books about them. There are so many and not one of them is true. Not even the Bible." A stray strand of blond hair falls into her eyes as she talks to him. She feels a little nerdy telling him these things and is surprised that she feels any emotion at all.
He rose an eyebrow and looked down at the book. "Is this one any better?" he asked, captivating green eyes moving back up to meet with hers. He wondered what made her so interested in angels, and if it was only a coincidence she resembled one so much.
Destiny feels captivated by his gaze but dismisses it thinking it was all in her head. A lot of things were. In her head, I mean. She smoothes the hardworn cover of the book and looks up at him, "Doesn't seem like it, but its better than reading the school textbooks." A charming wry grin lights up her face as she admits this. "Why are you so interested in that book that you almost killed for it? You seem to be well-trained in combat." She hugs the old book close to herself as she deflects the questions asked of her and asks him some of het own.
Athena sits quietly by herself. She finger drums while she reads. So bored, need someone to talk to before I freak. She thought to herself.
He rose another eyebrow. "My sister.." he coughed slightly, using it a pause, "has a sort of boyfriend.. Suitor." He looked a little sheepish, but only a little.
(I made a new one....Noel...he's a charmer.)Noel slunters up to a table with a girl and slips in the opposite chair from her with the ese and grace of a cat. His ice blue eyes flickered over her and finding nothing of her person stimmulating decides to flick bits of flower petals at her in annoyance.
Destiny's eyes light up at the mention of the old word, "I didn't know anyone uses that word anymore." She remembers the rest of wat he said and nodded slightly to him, "But why would you resort to violence first? Do you not apprve of him?"
Noel narrows his eyes at her and shrugs his shoulder, "Who are you and why are you talking to me?" He flicked another petal at her and it landed in her book, which he felt very pleased about and even cracked a charming lopsided smile.
"I asked you first, and your the one sitting at the table with me when you could sit somewhere else." She gave him an unpleased look and blew the petal back over to him.
Noel flicks another one her way and replied easily, "I'm Noel and I'm bored soooooo....Do I really have to tell you what I'm doing? Do you not know what it is?" He smirked at her a bit cruelly but without malice.
"Nice comeback." He shot back at her and continued to pester her with the petals. He soon grew bored of that as well and began to drumb his slender fingers on the table in a rythmic beat.
"It wasn't a comeback." She sighed, he obviously didn't understand. He was really making her mad so she turned on her charm. "Look, could you please stop that noise, I'm trying to read here." She gave him a flirty smile that always worked on guys.
Noel wrinkles his nose at her obvious attempts at using magic over him, "If you stop that, it's degrading." He shudders dramatically at her and stills his drummer fingers watching her intently like prey. He was intrigued to say the least, but not enough to actually act with decency around her....She wasn't worth that amount of decorm and he never had any to begin with with the way he grew up and all. So, it didn't really faze him.
Athena just sighed. She grabbed her book, jammed it into her purse then walked over to a shelf looking for some new reading.
(Rin?)Noel naturally follows her and sighs all the way while doing so. "What more could you possibly want?" He mutters under his breath watching her intently. He could never understand humans. They were a mystery...a puzzle...to be played with as he wished and boi, did he like to play with humans.
A figure stands in the shadows. The darkness bends aroud him and hides him from view. He watches Destiny and this guy flirt with a distinct feeling he knows all to well. Rage. He snarls and his sword calls for blood. He opened up to this girl and here she is... With this guy.... He steps further into his relm and dissapears. Destiny hears nothing more than a whisper "He is a dead man...." ((Not the guy she is talking to. Kendel))
"What do you mean 'What more could your possibly want?'? I just want you to stop be annoying. You're worse then my twin." She gave him a mean look, she grabbed a book on Magic Plants, then went back to where she was sitting.
"I don't trust anyone with my sister.." he mumbled, looking down. "Suitor is a better word either way. He asked my permission first," Bennett said with a sigh. He looked up at her from underneath his eyebrows, a knowing smile growing across his face. He considered reaching across the tug one of her locks awfully, but fought the urge.
Destiny upon hearing the whisper stiffened and paled slightly. "Lucif." She smiles up at Bennett and flicked him lightly on the shoulder but her eyes never lost that sad look. "Your sister will surely be fine and I am sorry that this coversation must be cut short. I'm afraid that our conversation has illicited an unwanted result and I fear for Kendel. I must find him." She turns to leave the library but smiles sadly at Bennett. "I am truely sorry." And she disappeared out of sight in a flash of bright colorless light.
He watched her go, somewhat dumbstruck. He wanted to follow and find her again, but he wasn't sure how to find her nor how to follow. He sighed softly, leaning back against the shelf. He considered smelling her out later.
Athena was bored, she decided to find a book on guitars she always wanted to be a singer/ guitar player. She found a book opened it up and started studdying, while she was studying she took her ipod from her purse, un wrapped her headphones, turned on 'Mary was the marrying kind' by kip Moore and kept studying.
"Why is your face the way it is?" He shrugs her question off with one of his own as he jumps onto the table and starts walking on it.
"Then don't ask why my face is the way it is." Noel sneers back at her. Tone filled with bitterness that he could not restrain.
"I didn't ask that, i was just wondering why you were smirking." Athena rolled her eyes. He's weird. She thought.
"That's the permenant state of my face. What's yours? A perbetual state of disdain for others?" Noel's look hardens as her looks her over. She was not very pretty, but pretty. She was neither Jess pretty nor Brooklynn pretty. Just pretty in her own right and it irked Noel a little. He was beautiful and impecably made and it irked him that others were mostly less pleasing to look at.
Jess shrugged, her eyes skimming across the rows of shelves full of books. "I don't know... Over there?" She pointed to the left side of the library, on the shelf labeled fiction.
Noel starts to walk towards that way, when his phone beeps off. He flips it open scanning the text message and grumbles something about a mad student coming to the academy.
Jess followed over there and heard him say this, although she wasn't sure what he was talking about. "What?" she asked hesitantly, raising an eyebrow slightly.
He hands her the phone trying to hide the burns on his hands as he did so. His text read Gunner is now on campus. He's looking for you......and out for blood.. He runs his hand through his hair messing it up. "Its from a friend or foe. Someones messing with me. There is no way that Gunner would be here of all places."
She saw the burn on his hands, but didn't think he would want her to comment on it. Looking down at the phone, her eyes scanned the text. She didn't like the sound of this, and didn't know who this Gunner was, but apparently he was a bad guy. "Uh, who's Gunner?" she asked, then paused slightly. "It doesn't sound like he likes you very much, if he wants your blood."
Noel chuckles and shoves his hands in his front pockets. "He does not want my blood. He wants the answer to life's question...actually to his own personal question and lets just say that I've led him on a wild goose chase. Now that he knows I'm back on the earth plane I knew he would find me to get those answers but he should really just ask the right question. Sith cannot lie but we can omit parts of the truth if you leave enough wiggle room. Gunner hasn't learned that yet....nor would I call him dangerous but he is....in his own way."
"Hm. Interesting. So basically he's chasing you around with a question? And he couldn't bother anyone else, why?" Jess asked, raising an eyebrow. She wasn't really sure how Gunner was dangerous in his own way, but she wasn't sure if she wanted to find out; although she probably would end him spotting him sometime since he was on campus now. She couldn't help smirking a little when he said a Sith can't lie. "So... Can't lie? Well that could be fun," she added jokingly.
Noel runs his fingers along the old spines in the library. The corner of his mouth tilts up in amusement as he listens to Jess chatter about truths and lies. Her humor is refreshing especially since he hasn't felt true emotion in all of his life. "Well, essentially yes and he cannot bother anyone else. No one else knows the answer...but I do and I intend to keep them to myself. No, I cannot lie outright...what is the fun in that?" He asks her with humor in his tone.
Jess nodded slightly, walking to the other shelf and looking through the books lining across it. There were so many of them, so many magical tales just waiting to be opened so thcey can play through them again. "Nobody, huh? Guess you're just the one who knows all the answers," she mused, smirking a little. She shrugged to his last comment. "It probably wouldn't be very fun..."
"No seriously." Noel turns to her and takes her slender hand in his larger one. "What is it like to lie? How was it to eat? The things that you are capable or...were capable of doing fascinates me. Seeing as how I can never do these things...ever." He smiles slightly down at her as if it were painful to do so as the library door banged open and in strutted the manliest man that one has ever seen. Gunner walks in leasurily taking his time flicking the brim of his hat lightly not looking up at anyone but seemed just as well to beg others of their attention.
Jess hesitated slightly before she opened her mouth to respond, but immediately closed it again wordlessly as the door opened and in came the guy she guessed was Gunner. She almost gaped a little at seeing him for herself. Speak of the devil, she thought, and then looked back at Noel. "He's heeeere," she whispered, in the voice from a horror movie she once watched long ago.
