My name's Voltaire and i love this genre. Sherlock Holmes initially got me into this, and The Sign of Four is my favorite. I also met Father Brown, Hercule Poirot, Sam Spade, Philip Marlowe, Spenser and few others. Right now, i just read the first Jack Reacher book by Lee Child and i think he's as good as any of them. Looking forward to discussions and book recommendations. :)

Hi Voltaire...I'm new too. Love mysteries & thrillers. "Silver Blaze" and "The Speckled Band" are my two favorite Sherlock Holmes stories. Agatha Christie's "Death on the Nile" is another favorite.

Well written thrillers are also tops with me (I just wrote a medical thriller ebook which isn't up yet. Maybe this week...)
