One of the books listed in the Scavenger Hunt is The Cherry Orchard by Chekov. I would like to read this but can find it only in anthologies at my public library. I realized that if I read an anthology I would need to read the whole book, but is this an acceptable substitute?

As long as The Cherry Orchard is one of the plays in the anthology, yes, it'll work.
