15.7. “The First Day of Summer” – read the first book in a series. The book must be identified as a series on GR, and must have at least three books in the series that have been published or will be published by the end of the challenge.

Rosemary | 613 comments If the three books are numbered 0.5, 1 and 2, and you read #1, is that OK or do you have to read 0.5 first? And also does that count as being a series with three published books?

the half step books don't count - it's too difficult to moderate if I have to track them down and they frequently wouldn't meet the page requirements for SRC tasks in any event.

There must be at least three books in the series with whole numbers, and you need to read book #1.

Kathy G. | 1931 comments This book is considered in a series (but on Goodreads it doesn't have the number.) Would this count as book one?

Clues in the Woods (Liza, Bill & Jed Mysteries) by Peggy Parish by Peggy Parish

http://www.goodreads.com/series/52092...

It is also listed as a series on the author's page.

Thank you

Kathy G. | 1931 comments Thank you Sandy-

I was confused because when you click on the
series-- that one was listed first---

And on the author's page, it was listed first when
you go down to her series.

How do you figure out the order otherwise?
Just curious.

Maybe publication date? I'm going by the comments given. The other thing you might do is look at the book itself - particularly with children's books, they will often say something about how they're continuing the adventures of....

Kathy G. | 1931 comments Thanks-

I just wondered at the order on Goodreads. I guess we can't go by that.

Thank you

no, I don't think that order means anything - but I did look at the publication date and the one you listed was published a couple years after another one in the series.
