I'd like to join your list, Hazel. I'd be happy to host anyone's book tour, and I hope to have one myself this summer for my new book, The Seal Queen. However, when I clicked on the link to sign up, all I got was some very pretty wallpaper. I couldn't find a place to sign up, or any info. Please tell me what I need to do :)

It must just be a glitch in the site, try again later and if you're still having problems let me know =)
I've just started a new blog at www.katmichels.com. It's my thoughts in general, my creative process while writing my book and links to my articles for other publications!
I can't access my blog to be able to make posts. http://haroldtitusauthor.blogspot.com Very frustrating. BlogSpot apparently has no live person to talk to. The instructions they send via email are of no help. Looks more and more like I will have to delete the site (if I can find out how) and start a new one.
Sorry you're having problems Harold. I might be able to help if you tell me exactly what's wrong. Blogger itself doesn't seem to be acting up at the moment.
Thank you, Hazel. I appreciate your offer to help. I'm able to access the home page of my website. I'm asked to sign in. I give my email address and password. Instead of being sent to a page of my website where I am allowed to post new information, I arrive at a page that states that I have more than one blog (I don't). Inquiring about what I should do, I am told I should try my different email addresses (I have but one) to find the blog I want. I'll have to create a new website.
Hmm, that's weird. I think one of my friends had the exact same problem when she first started her blog. She couldn't figure out how to fix it either, unfortunately. There must have been something that went wrong when you created your account. Have you tried accessing the blog by it's address?
My latest blog post is up:The Devil and his Lady – A Confessional Character Study from the Sixties.
I had the rare privilege of meeting and getting to know the Devil back in the winter of 1968-69. He is not the man most think he is. He does not look as most think he does. His lady – well, she kind of is and kind of is not what most would expect. I know these facts for I have met the man and his lady.
The Devil, contrary to popular belief, does not come knocking at your door. You go knocking at his.
There's a link. Just click my face and check my blog entry to go to the whole article.
'Nother steppe post. Hazel, you and the other Celt fans may like this one, too. I didn't put it in the post, but the principle is called tanistry, taken from the Celtic word for the same idea: http://blog.cplesley.com/2013/06/rule....
I've started a new historical fiction blog,http://authorharoldtitus.blogspot.com
I feature blogs about the American Revolution and English attempts to establish a colony at Roanoke during the 1580s, scenes from my historical novel, and book reviews that I've written.
I have up an interview with group member John Caviglia, author of Arauco: A Novel.http://amgalant.com/
I have a blog where I reviewed Hazel's book On a Foreign Field: A Story of Loyalty and Brotherhooda while back at http://maskedpersona.blogspot.com/201...More recently I have reviewed Original Death: A Mystery of Colonial Americaby Eliot Pattison at http://maskedpersona.blogspot.com/201...
Bryn and John, fascinating interview, thank you :)Shomeret, loved your in-depth reflection on Hazel's novel and its historical setting. Another chunk of history I'm terribly unfamiliar with. One more book into TBR :)
A Request to Blogs addressing History BuffsHi friends,
I am Vasant Davé from India. I am searching for Blogs which would conduct Author Interviews for my Virtual Book Tour. It is scheduled in October, 2013, and details could be read at http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1... . I shall be extremely grateful to you should you decide to participate in this win-win event for both of us.
- Vasant
I would like to participate in your blog tour. Please email me at jdrhawkins@gmail.com. Thank you very much.
Humbly opinionated, as always. My latest post is called 'Slumming in Historical Fiction. Or, Politics? What Politics?' http://amgalant.com/slumming-in-histo...It was triggered by a Tim Kreider piece at the New Yorker blog. I expect few to agree with my individual reaction to him, but of concern to more than me is how he stereotypes historical fiction – even as he’s being a genre-champion for science fiction. I think it sucks. You’ll think it sucks in a different way than I do. But it still sucks.
Since 2010 I have been writing a blog called (like several others) 'Writing About Writing'. I try to blog around once a week. I write about the historical background to my novels which are set in the Far East in the mid-19th century. I also write about the actual business of writing and occasionally about things that have attracted my attention or that particularly interest me. I get between 650 and 1,250 page views per month, which is not a lot, but better than some. The purpose of the blog is, obviously, to support sales of my books: The White Rajah and Cawnpore. As of the end of February, though, they will be temporarily unavailable, as I'm moving from one publisher to another. This leaves me a bit uncertain as to what to write about. It occurs to me that this will be a really good time for me to invite anybody who can write interesting articles that might be relevant to my potential readers and I'm happy to host them.
The first book that my new publishers are planning to print is His Majesty's Confidential Agent, which is set largely in South America around the time of the Napoleonic wars, although it does feature the start of the Peninsular War in Spain and the slave revolt in Haiti. I'm therefore very open to anything that relates to these as well.
If anybody thinks that my blog might reach people that they would like to talk to, please have read of the blog (http://thewhiterajah.blogspot.co.uk/) to get an idea what the sort of thing I do and then contact me by messaging me here.
I'm happy to feature Stan Jensen and his Civil War novel "Ethan's Peach Tree" on my blog site: http://authorharoldtitus.blogspot.com.
I blog about the history of music--the guy who named the notes A-B-C, the guy who invented Do-Re-Mi, and lots of interesting instruments and composers. Probably my most popular blog post to date was "On His MP3 Player: Henry VIII" and I'm working on two more MP3 player blogs, one for Lucrezia Borgia, and another for Sir Francis Drake. Check it out here: http://coloraturaconsulting.wordpress... Or if you're looking for something more specific, try the Blogs tab of my website at www.MelanieSpiller.com
I don't know if I posted a link where I blog yet. I will do so in a moment. I have iterviewed one author of the history/political genre. Michael AustinWe also have a Civil War blogger on the staff. Plus, my brother who double majored in History and business is a blogger at population-we. This is his history blog.

To commemorate Patriots Day April 19, I am posting a series of scenes about Paul Revere from my historical novel "Crossing the River." I should have posted 10 scenes by April 19.http://authorharoldtitus.blogspot.com
I've posted on my blog site (http://authorharoldtitus.blogspot.com) information about author Richard Veit and his unique novel "Home Sweet Home Land," which is mostly about the experiences of a family in Waco, Texas, living through the trying years of World War II. Excerpts included. I hope you will check it out.
I am featuring on my blog site (http://authorharoldtitus.blogspot.com) June 23, 25, and 27 debut novelist Patricia Weil and her impressive novel "A Circle of Earth." Each day you will be able to read different excerpts.A Circle of Earth
Guest-posting on Hazel's Character Purgatory blog today, on the interplay between authors and their (sometimes ornery) fictional creations. Thanks, Hazel, for the opportunity! It was fun.
Hours I Will Never Get BackOr, risks of the writer of Historical Fiction
I have a WIP (Work in Progress). The story takes place just after the American Civil War. In it there is a sea chase between a ship built as a blockade runner and a naval gunboat.
That gunboat rested in my mind as clear as last year’s Christmas tree. I remember it. I remember seeing it during one of my great, time wasting, net surfing marathons.
The gunboat’s “visual” is there. And it is not there.
The gunboat is a problem. I need an updated visual. A visual to build my WIP on.
They say that memories are not remembered. They are built. Built from wishes and wants and denials.

http://bronsonmh9785.blog.com/It is entitled Book Nerd. I just started it. I want to keep this blog about all things books and also my 2015 book challenge. I want to read 200 books and once I am done with a book I will write a review about it. I also want to start one that has to do with me being a hardcore fangirl.
I am running three blogs. The main section is found at https://www.codex-regius.de, there I give information about new or updated publications, background information, video trailers, the backlist etc. There are two specialised blogs on our historical novel trilogies: https://www.corpus-sacrum.de and https://opus-gemini.de. Though I feel that one blog for the series as a whole would do; the separation is simply owing to the somewhat convoluted publication history.
My blog centers around historical aspects and recent events concerning the Civil War. I also talk about writing on occasion. Check it out and subscribe if you'd like!http://jdrhawkins.com/blog
Harold wrote: "I started a blog last month. http://haroldtitusauthor.blogspot.com.I write about historical figures of the American Revolution that appear in my novel, information about the attempted settlements ..."
My blog is 3 years old now. I have concluded a series of posts about the life of Virginia signer of the Declaration of Independence Thomas Nelson and have begun a series about the life of Frederick Douglass. Change of blog site address: http://authorharoldtitus.blogspot.com.
I am writing posts about the life of Frederick Douglass on my blog site: http://authorharoldtitus.blogspot.com.
Hello,Anyone interested in a guest blogpost about my new series starting in 1829 Scotland? It's a trad crime series with a doctor's wife as the heroine.
