Tylerchavarria Explain how the character Katniss goes through drastic changes as the war escalates in the novel Mockingjay?

Vixen She goes from thinking just for herself and her family to thinking of everyone else. everyone in the present and future that had anythign to do with the capitol as well as with the future hunger games. She goes from being just Katniss a former champion of the hunger games to Katniss the Mockingjay that is symbolic to all districts giving them hope against all odds. O__O

Haidi I think, as Vixen said that Katniss became a symbol for everyone present and future and I believe that is why "fire" is such a good symbol for her in the first two books because Fire not only causes the destruction of things but is a necessity for "new life" to develop and begin again.

Without Katniss there would not have been all the destruction, but also without Katniss there wouldn't have been the re-birth of a new beginging either.

Haidi thanks Hannah :)
