The truth? I do not lie as a rule but a long, long time ago, when I was in my early teens I really wanted to learn to fly. I'd join our local gliding club and registered for a ground school. That was OK with my parents but the ground school was over in a couple of months and the flying lessons started - my parents never knew... To the best of their knowledge I was still in ground school. And the time came for me to get a pilot licence, I was under 16 years old and needed my parents signature... I knew they will never sign it so I forged my father's signature. Eventually I had to tell them the truth because I was competing in championships. Yep, I was grounded and banned from flying. Not for very long though...
I remember lying when I was a kid to my parents just so I wouldn't get into trouble. I've called in sick to work when I feel just fine.
I believe that every single person has told a lie, even little white lies, at one point or another in his/her life.
