I generally don't read or like Prologues but this one was one of the best I've ever seen. I was pulled right in right away.
I liked it too Michael-we saw a character we've been curious about in a really strange predicament....hooked me right away!
I really enjoyed the TenSoon parts. The kandra are so strange and interesting! I also liked that we're getting answers to so many questions from the blurbs at the beginning of each chapter. It seems like the blurbs may have been written by Vin or Sazed. I'm curious to find out who it was and how they got all that info.
I like the kandra too, and I'm glad it is looking like we'll learn a lot more about them this book.I also think from a "romance" point of view, it makes things easier for Eland to now be a strong allomancer. Probably from a story-telling point of view also, since he can move around faster, etc. I don't know if it is a good thing or not - we shall see.
I'm a little behind, library didn't have the third book and I strayed a little, but, into it again and just finished with part I. One of my favorite characters in the series had been OreSuer so I am really interested in TenSoon and the Kandra story line. The bits we are getting about Marsh are also very good, the inner struggle he is dealing with is crazy. Sazed still depressed, not a good thing I think. I enjoyed the early fights with Elend and the koloss as well as Vin and the Inquisitor. So far, I am enjoying th pace and the story is really compelling now.
