C. (czaragoza) I loved the Maze Runner and the Scorch Trials, I was lukewarm on the Death Cure.

Yeah, The Death Cure kind of killed the whole series for me. It didn't really resolve. How do you guys feel about Brenda? I never really like her nor the fact that I felt like Dashner kept trying to replace Teresa with her in the series.

C. (czaragoza) I didn't like Teresa either though. I don't think there was any need for romance in the Maze Runner, yet he went for it. Objectively, I prefer Brenda, but I wasn't a fan of the way Dashner introduced her in the book. No chemistry in either direction.

Anna G. (annasaywhat) | 7 comments Romance wasn't really necesary, but since Dashner included it...
I really liked Teresa though. She was one of my favorite characters. The betrayal just made me like her more, cause I feel like it showed her substance and how much she loved and cared for Thomas. And at the end of the 3rd book, the epilogue reveals how Brenda was just a piece in WICKED's game. In my opinion that makes her a worse betrayer than Teresa.

I really didn't like Theresa, after what she did to Thomas in scorch trials.
Brenda was a little annoying because she lied about being from WICKED.
But I liked Brenda's spunk and attitude where I felt Theresa was lacking

Exactly! She was too pro-WICKED for me

Claire I liked Theresa!!! Brenda was annoying and lied about everything!

Right! I thought she lied about everything. He sole relationship with Thomas is based upon a lie.

Charlotte (charlottep) There wasn't really a need for romance, but I liked Brenda better in the end. Teresa just got kinda whiny after she lied to him, like she expected him to forgive her.

Claire I know, the entire book had plenty of twists and drama on its own, i didn't think it was neccessary to include the main character's love life. Especially in a dystopian save-the-world type book

Charlotte (charlottep) But somehow, all dystopian books end up with unnecessary romance.

Claire I know! like which one doesn't have a romance?

Charlotte (charlottep) ummmmmmmm ive got nothing...

Anything by Stephen King.... he fairly touches it, but it doesn't become the main problem in the character's life

Claire ya but i meant like dystopian stuff

Anna G. (annasaywhat) | 7 comments Try Unwind by Neal Schuster. TOO GOOD. and it's a dystopian novel.

Claire What did you think of the end of the series?
