First of all, what a fab group this is, I've only been a member for a week or so but already have a TBR list that will probably take me at least until 2013!
Anyway let me introduce myself! My name's Bev, i'm 26 from Sheffield in England. I've always enjoyed a good book but it's only been the past month or two that i've become a total bookaholic (since joining this site!). In order to introduce myself properly you should probably know my story. Last year I was diagnosed with a rare kind of leukemia and had to go through the delights of chemo, it was horrible but "all's well that ends well" as they say, i've been given the all clear and am finally getting my life back together. I still get tired a lot though and sufer from panic attacks, I have found that reading is really helping chill me out and aid my recovery, which is great :)
I work in private medical insurance, with lovely people but the job itself is pretty uninspiring. After getting better I decided that I want an inspiring career, so I'm looking at going back to education to study for a nursing degree next year which i'm really excited about :) I mention this as i'm interested in medical- related books, at present i'm reading The Midwife: A Memoir of Birth, Joy, and Hard Times which is really enjoyable!
I like all different kinds of books but if i had to give the name of my favourite book it would be The Fault in Our Stars by the fabulous John Green.
When i'm not reading I enjoy spending time with my lovely boyfriend Chris, watching movies, socialising with friends and swimming.
I love making friends from all over the world so please feel free to add me.
Hope you all have a lovely day and thanks for reading. I look forward to getting involved in the group :)
