Okey dokey. hey! Did you read my conversations with my new character, Richard? It's in the conversations topic under Prompts in this group. It's kinda long, but it was a fun conversation. I don't plan on telling him that yes, he will have a girlfriend. He won't know until it happens. Oh, and what a scandal it will be! he still thinks that he's going to be living in this reality, you see. I'm the only one who knows otherwise. *insert evil grin here*

I wrote this on the nano site! It basically sums up one of the two conflicts. It won't be part of my nano novel, because I wrote it now and now it's october... but it was a good exercise to do, I think.

Richard bit his lip. "Josh, we need to talk."

Josh turned his head sharply at the tone, but covered his reaction by saying nonchalantly, "about what?"

"I-" Richard began before taking a deep breath. "I have to break it off."

A confused look appeared on Josh's face. "But why? Things are going great!"

"For you they are. But I don't feel the same way about you as you feel about me. I don't feel the same way about men as you do."

Josh's jaw dropped. "But-- we were-- I mean-- if that were true, then why did you ever agree to go with me?"

"I don't know!" Richard exclaimed, sounding exasperated. "I guess we were friends, and then dating was the next natural step! I didn't even realize that what I felt wasn't the same!"

"Well what happened then? Did you just wake up one morning and realize you were straight?"

"No! It wasn't like that!" Richard was starting to become frustrated with Josh. He took a deep breath to calm down. "Josh, there's a girl."

Yay! I have five chapters up, and I'm ridiculously far behind on my WC! I will try to make it up by the end of the week though... but I probably won't be able to, and I'll just fall farther behind. Weekends are really busy for me.

Thanks. :) Even though the writing kinda sucks, which is something that I'm not going to deny. I've got several unnecessarily long wordings to extend WC.

I have chapter 11 up... the events of chapter nine and ten are fairly significant, I think... but chapter eleven is fairly pointless. I think that I maybe intended it to have some purpose or other, but it doesn't.

Chapter twelve doesn't do much for the plot, I'll admit. But I've been feeling a little bit sick of my story from writing more than 10k over the past two days... and I can't take a break from it because I'm behind (but almost caught up!) so I wanted to write something fun. And now I'm typing this, and I'm feeling really detached from my comment, as if it's one of my characters, not me, saying this. I think that my story is eating me.

I WROTE 12,038 WORDS IN THE PAST TWO DAYS AND 28.5 PAGES DOUBLE SPACED!!!!!!!

Okay, now my yelling in excitement is done. But I feel like jumping up and down right now because I'm sooo happy! Even though I'm writing a really weird part, but I don't care!!!! :D And now I almost want to go write a bunch more, but I should probably take a shower and go to bed. ahhh, it feels sooooo good to not be behind!

Woah... I just realized that I wrote about 7k today, not counting the stuff that I wrote after midnight. Because yesterday (including after midnight) I wrote just over 5k. And if between the last two days I've written 12k, that means that since 11AM, (11.5 hours) I wrote almost seven thousand words. Which isn't actually that fast, but I did do homework for 2-3 hours... and I wasn't writing constantly. I did take a break to eat dinner. But anyhow... I kinda want to write 2k more right now, just to reach tomorrows WC and beat last years 1 day record.

LOL. I was excited... I really do sound like a frantic insane writer. Oh well. That's what nano does to you. Sometimes the story kind of eats you.

I wrote 3000 words today. not my best, but I FINISHED NANO! and I might write more anyhow. :D Plus I actually have the ending figured out. Seems appropriate that I figure that out just after I hit 50k.

That is what I love about NaNo, it brings on those wonerful "Eureka" moments. I found my characters doing all sorts of things that I had no idea they were going to do.

thanks, both of you. And yeah, I got far behind. There were two times this month where I was 10k behind but somehow or other managed to catch up. I dont' think that I'll get to finish the story today, because I was procrastinating too much... and so I have written a couple hundred words, if that. Oh well. I can try! Just do a bunch of scene summaries. I really want to get to the end... I can probably get to the end at 51 or 52k if I just summarize the scenes, and have no dialogue or anything.

Oh! and I was talking to somebody on IM and they mentioned something about time, and then i replied with soemthign that I realized afterward would make really cool first paragraph to a story! I plan on starting on it tomorrow. :D

I basically did do scene summaries. Sort of... well, it was actually more like, "this is the rest of the plot. I know that I'm telling now showing."

Ah! And then a plot bunny tempted me on the last page! And I followed it! So now it ends on a cliffhanger. :D I think that I'll post the last two paragraphs on goodreads, even though there is a good chunk of the story missing (which I don't intend to post). Ahh, plot bunnies, I <3 you!

Anyhow, I JUST FINISHED A NOVEL!!! WOOOOT! :D It's the second novel that I've ever finished. It's mostly crap, but I'm proud of myself! YAAAAAY!

I've done a very bad job of keeping up lately, with both posts and actual writing. I've been working a TON this month, baking cakes and such. Or doing homework an procrastinating... Oh well. Next year/month will be better.
