"Made of reclaimed cellulose fiber"- Cellulose is made from wood. It's a good bedding. How often do you clean your guinea pigs cages

E | 22 comments I like to use different colors for my guinea pig; she likes to run through it :)
Do you have any tips for litter training?

ok- I have a lot of tips but every pig is different.

First- get a litter pan. It should be big enough for them to jump in it. I got mine at Petco.

Fill it with litter. I use Yesterdays News Cat litter. It looks like guinea pigs pellets. Do not use regular cat litter. Do not get the sented kind.

Put the pan and litter in the cage- put it in a corner were they go the most. My guineas go were ever there is hay, so I put there hay rack above there hay.

This is kinda how I have mine-

Next, take a scoop of soiled bedding and mix it in with your litter. Pigs go were they have been before, so by smelling this, they tend to go there.

you can also give them veggies when ever they go in it. This allows the pig to get comfortable with the litter pan.

Pigs are not like cats, they wont go 100% but it really helps when you clean the cage.

Feel free to ask me any questions- good luck!
