Cathleen | 2409 comments Hello Goodreads Ireland group--
My name is Cathleen, and I live outside of Boston, MA. I happened upon your group while browsing the Goodreads site, and as soon as I saw the books you are/have been reading, I smiled. I'm of Irish descent (did my first name give it away?) and I gravitate toward Irish writers or anything about Ireland, really. Two of my all-time favorite writers are James Joyce and William Trevor. I've Love and Summer waiting for me, soon to be read. Recently, I finished my first Brian McGilloway, and I thoroughly enjoyed it--a real page turner :) I'm looking forward to finding out more about this group and participating in the monthly reads.

Hi, Cathleen. Welcome to Goodreads Ireland. :)

Just to let you know, there is a thread open for Joyce's Ulysses and it's being discussed by a couple of members who have already finished it. The comment folders are all open, so, if you want to start a specific discussion in a folder, please feel free.

I hope you enjoy your time with us.

Declan. :)

Welcome Cathleen. Trevor is also one of my favorites. Another is Sebastian Barry. I became familiar with him this year.
