Eli finally saw Alex and approached him silently. Not wanting to disturb his peace.

[Cielo]

When he finished reading, Alex set his comic book beside him.

Eli saw he was done reading and sat down beside him. "Heeeeyy..." she said. Not trying to appear intruding.

[Cielo]

"Um. . .hey." Alex said.

Eli shifted in her seat, "So... whatcha reading there?"

[Cielo]

"I told you and your crazy friend back there." Alex said.

[♠Miriam♠]

Eli nodded vigorously, "Yeah, I know. I know. I just forgot okay? You don't have to be mean, you know? Just cause my friend acted a certain way doesn't mean I will be the same! You need to stop judging people by what other people do and actually get to know them!" she huffed in one breath.

[Cielo]

"I didn't say it to be mean. It was a statement of fact. Maybe you shouldn't judge people by their looks and actually get to know them as well." Alex said calmly, staring at her steadily.

"Well, I guess we both are in the wrong... Let's say we start all over." she stuck out her hand, "Hey, I'm Eli. What's your name?"

[Cielo]

"Alex" Alex said, shaking her hand.

[♠Miriam♠]

"Nice to meet you, Alex." she said letting go of his hand, "What are you doing in this part of the park?"

[Cielo]

"Reading." Alec said, as if stating the obvious.

She laughed, "Yeah, I should have noticed that. Okay, let's cut to the chase? What are your hobbies?"

[Cielo]

"Um. . .I read, I write a bit, I skateboard, and I play baseball. You?" Alex said.

[♠Miriam♠]

"I also read, and write, and I also like to try new things." Eli smiled.

[Cielo]

"Cool." Alex said.

[♠Miriam♠]

"Yup. So... whatcha wanna do now?" Eli prodded on.

[Cielo]

Alex shrugged.
