Did Gabriel Stay Or Go?

So, in the ending since it isn't really clear. Did Gabriel stay on the island or go to the mainland with his friends? I would sorta like it if he went to the mainland and stayed for awhile. Then he could come back to his sister and brother and decide he missed them way more than he hated the island. Then he would get to see both of the different surroundings and get a little adventure along the way.

He left. He was packing when Puck went to see Malvern. part of Puck's journey was realizing that her brother didn't have same needs and wants that she did.
i think she still minded and was very sad about it but she understood why e wanted t go and so let him leave wihout arguing
I love this book! I think that the author left it up to our imagination. I think he left because he quoted "I cannot stand this island any longer". I think that Gabe is rude in a way because he rather go to the mainland than help keep his sister and brother alive. If you think about it Puck would have never competed if her brother was not leaving and malvern was not takong away their house!
I haven't read the book in a while, but from my understanding Gabriel went to the mainland.

he went im sure because in the end she wins and saves the house so he doesn't really need to stay. and then Puck ends up understanding why he wanted to go so i don't think she ended up minding
ok this book is soooooooooo weird what is it all about is all about water horses it dose not make any sense at all i do not get it i dont like it it is not even about horses
