I like Peter. I really do. At first, I liked him instead of Tobias/Four/Toby but now I want Tris to be with Tobias/Four/Toby (sorry, but I just can't pick a name). They're a really good couple.

I actually took a liking to Eric because he reminded me of a guy from a manta who was really hot so I pictured Eric as him even though I hats the piercings she says he has gross also I'm a typical "root for the bad guy" type of girl so I was hoping her and Eric would get together in the first book but I guess I'm over it and for some reason I do not want Tris to be with four too much drama!
Also Peter would've been good hes the bad guy too :3
I liked Tris and Tobias, but I think that after she betrayed him that final time....It was just idiotic how easily they fell back into the relationship. I was holding on, hoping that something would happen to change things between them, but now that I see thats not gunna happen...they shouldnt b togther
i want them to break up, so so so so soooooooo badly! BUT! if they break up, i wont get to see Four anymore and that will make me sad.. :(

I think they need a love triangle, tris, some guy and four that would fix everything.

To be honest, I understand what all you guys are saying about how the Tobias-Tris relationship is all bad and good, and how this book may be a bit too angsty and stuff, but I say...LET THE CHILDREN INDULGE!
After all, this is a FICTION book for a reason! So, the relationship may not be TOTALLY realistic! So, there might be too much ANGST! It's a FICTION book! Meaning, it MIGHT NOT BE TRUE OR REAL!
Look at it this way!
A good/bad book will always leave an impression, won't it? Well, look at the things you guys are posting about it! Wouldn't you say that this book is pretty AMAZING for getting all you guys to respond this way?
I love the story. But I don't like the way they don't trust each other enough--they still keep secrets. Especially Tris! Maybe Tobias, too, sometimes. But I don't want them to break up. They work in a good team, it's just the lies that are keeping them from each other. They always fight.
Though, I love them together :) They're always romantic. Haha
I think how their relationship changed made sense with all of the trauma Tris had to deal with. A lot of teenage relationships (honestly, even adult relationships have this problem-) have communication issues. Tris and Tobias were Abnegation so they don't know how to just depend on each other, how to be both selfish in needing someone but selfless in always being there for each other.I think in the end Tobias realized that even in her worst betrayals, Tris is still the same girl he fell in love with, just older and more fragile. I hope Roth doesn't split them up for the sake of drama. To end a relationship because you refuse to trust someone is more unhealthy than to struggle with trying work things out- especially in the case of Tris and Tobias who are each strong and selfless enough that they could pull through it without damaging each other if Roth willed them to.
I just wish that Tris and Tobias would share there secrets with each other, I mean if they really love each other wouldn't they do that.

maybe thats the reason theyre togetherbecause theyre so different with different personalities thats what makes the strong and they depend on each other
i mean,you keep secrets right? maybe not as big as killing Will..but Tris was scared Four was going to judge her and tbf,i wud feel the same.

im sure in Divergent Four says something about how they keep each other strong,i cant remember.

I was in tears reading Divergent when Four was going to kill Tris i mean, how heartbreaking,he must of felt terrible afterwards.
I want Veronica Roth to keep them together,actually if they would have a little break but get back together they would love each other more.

My issue, I think ... (I read Divergent and Insurgent back-to-back this weekend, so I'm still in "obsessed" mode) in "Insurgent," I just could not figure out where Four's head was. I know he was dealing with daddy-issues and mommy-issues, but I didn't know what he was thinking most of the time. He berated Tris for keeping secrets, but he was keeping a boatload of them. Did he go into Erudite (after Tris turned herself in for being Divergent, and was being experimented on) to get close to Tris, or was he just scouting intel for the Dauntless/Factionless attack? And how in the world, at the end of the book, when Tris/Christine/Marcus went to Amity that last time AND SPENT THE NIGHT, did Four not notice Tris was gone? I mean, she was staying in HIS ROOM at HIS PARENTS' HOUSE in the Abnegation sector, and she was gone overnight, and he didn't question where she went? When he saw her in Jeanine's lab at Erudite HQ, when Tori killed Jeanine, he said "I thought you stayed behind." Really? And he didn't think it was weird he hadn't seen her in two days? (sigh) Those are the questions that keep me up at night ... :-)
I was SO mad at Tris for going to Erudite even after she told Tobias she wouldn't, and then going with Marcus behind Tobias's back, and all the secerts... BUT COME ON!!! FOURTRIS IS THE BEST. THEY ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD I LOVE THEM OMG OMG OMG. fiwesrbgwlske' fewkjg fwlergnrew love. Sorry for spazzing but its true...
Actually if I remembered correctly, Tris left after Tobias did. Pages 424-425 Practically almost everyone close to her was going so how would he be able to know. But every relationship goes through rough patches, if you don't, you are avoiding the problem of that relationship. Sometimes they make you stronger or sometimes they break you up. Tobias and Tris's made them stronger in the end.
I could see Tris and Peter get together (don't hate me) ... they are a lot of like... They each have the mindset to look out for ones own and they are both bad yet you catch glimpses of light... So I could see them (Four and Tris) breaking up... It just doesn't really seem realistic... Tris could realize she doesn't really hate Peter but in fact likes him and hates him because she likes him even though he is bad... now that is a teen novel... lol

COME ON PEOPLEEEEE they are just getting started with the relationship during a WAR, of course they're not going to be all about love and stuff, and most importantly because of their trust issues and the fact that they are both divergent. They have a lot going on, and they represent, sort of, the liders of the revolutionaries, so give the relationship a break, and BTW if you love someone, you don't just break up because of a few fights, you stick together and work things out. People give up too easily, and they don't.

I thought I read somewhere that Veronica Roth might be killing TObias. I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope she doesn't cause that would ruin the whole series cause it's kinda been about him and Tris and it would all go to waste if he died. Also Tris would be left alone cause she barely has anyone else.
They just needed time apart from each other to gain back as much normalcy into their own lives before they became completely dependent on each other again. They both had issues that needed to be addressed: tris never spoke up at the right time and tobias never left his "instructor role" completely behind when he was around her sometimes. Which made him slightly controlling. But who doesn't love a relationship that has issues? :) as long as it's worked on and through during the beginning of the 2nd foundation being laid! PLUS we all know that tris and tobias didn't REALLY have a family. They do in theory but it seemed like the family was almost as temporary as their relationship at times. But that's neither here nor there. They needed stability and, as ironic as it may seem, their relationship offered some of that and it will advance and become more healthy when, like I said, they learn to become more mature with the way they come at certain situations :)

I feel like Tris and Four did make out a lot in this book but it didn't make the book horrible. Other than them kissing a lot the plot was amazing. When they where invading one of the factions, I was so excited. There was lots of action which was great. Tris and Four were both great characters.
I believe that maybe it was fate that brought Tobias and Tris together. Tris didn't have to go to Dauntless and she happened to be at the right time where she first met Tobias. Maybe it was fate that they didn't broken up or the fighting and the challenges are forshadowing a bigger challenge the two lovers will face.

Oh my gosh, if Tris and Tobias break up, i will CRY DAY ON END!!! In the book insurgent, when tobias says to tris,"if you do anything reckless that is putting your life at risk, for stupid resons, you and i are done," I CRIED!!!! I hope tris obeys tobis. All he has done is protect her, but she doesn't really see that. I hope she stays with tobias. AMAZING COUPLE. My favourite parts in the book is when veronica roth describes how tobias held tris and kissed her...It makes my heart skip a beat!!!!

Everyone has their secrets and, duh, the most important things are the things you keep secret! Tris is meant to be with Tobias, I'll tell you that. Divergent is not Divergent if Tris and Tobias aren't together!
they should have broken up. there was always so many secrets and lies after they promised to tell the truth. And when i'm about to give up on their relationship, Veronica writes them making it up. And then Tris dies! It would have been easier if they had broken up after Uriah died

Are you insinuating I don't know what its like to be in a relationship?
I'm 22. I've been dating my current boyfriend for 4 years. Prior to him, I dated both men and women and the one relationship I had that came close to relating to theirs ended in disaster.
Trust me, hun, I understand relationships. The one these two have is not healthy and destined to failure.
