** We have two axes:

First - MENA historical cruise 2012: (12 months)

1- Islamic Empires (The Middle Ages & Early modern period ) (January to April)

- One nonfiction book - 4 months


1-a - Islamic Empires (7th to 11th century ) / The Middle Ages :

(Rashidun Caliphate , Umayyad Caliphate , Abbasid Caliphate , Al-Andalus , Fatimid Caliphate ,north/west Africa (Almoravid ) , The Great Seljuq Empire in persia .

- One fiction book - two months

1-b- Islamic Empires (11th to 19th century )/ Early modern period

crusades and Mongol conquests / (Ayyubid dynasty and Mamluk Sultanate ) , End of Al-Andalus , Ottoman Empire ,the (Dynasties of Iran and Afghan Empire) and even can come across Mughal Empire .

- One fiction book - two months


2- Late Modern history (until early 20th century ) (May to August)

- One nonfiction book - 4 months

2-a - ww1 , fall of The Ottoman Empire. :- One fiction book - two months
2-b- Colonialism , ww2 and independence movements : - One fiction book - two months.

3- Contemporary history (Post-1945 World) (September to December)

- One nonfiction book - 4 months , or two each in two months)

3-a - Arabic -Israeli conflict . : - One fiction book - two months
3-b – Arab spring : - One fiction book - two months

2- Realistic Contemporary Fiction (March and April)

3- Essays / politics/journalism (May and June)

6- Poetry & plays (November and December)
